For how long? For ever? Why should someone who's served 3 years get preferential treatment over me for say something serious such as cancer treatment? Or a hip replacement? If the injury was sustained in the line of duty absolutely, otherwise no. What if this person was dishonourably discharged etc? If I've been paying top whack NI and tax for 20 years how does someone jump the queue above me if they were in the services for the minimum term and come out aged 21? I've not read the mirror article, but there are potentially lots of issues here.

The Devalued Prime Minister of a Devalued Government

and most right wingers are greedy ****s hence why the Tories won the 4 prior to that. -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7894840.stm The charity Citizens Advice said there had been a recent "rash" of bogus adverts from claims handling firms. It said statements that most loan agreements were "unenforceable" were particularly misleading. "These ads appear to offer an easy way out to people who have credit debts they are struggling to pay," said Sue Edwards of Citizens Advice. Some claims firms suggest that any credit card or personal loan agreements struck before April 2007, and worth less than £25,000, may not be enforceable if the credit company does not have sufficiently accurate paperwork. "But many credit agreements do meet the legal requirements and therefore can't easily be challenged as unenforceable," Ms Edwards added.

How the "locals" in Luton welcome home British soldiers

and by the way St George, we're just following the US example in turning into a cess pit. -

I saw a program on BBC2 recently with Louis Theroux. On that program a bizarre family church / cult was picketing US soldiers funerals with banners such as homo fags get what they deserve. I didn't see that family getting their just deserts as you've alluded to. -

Oh the Irony of it all. They're voicing their opinions in a democracy where free speech is a right. The same thing we're trying to give them in Irag and Afghanistan. P.S. I don't agree with what they say, but it's a right they have. -
Which means what Lordswood? Cat A are the best behaved or the worst? And what is the range, Cat A - E ?

Delldays, problem is EnglandFans+ has no spaces available. Well, at least the last time I enquired. EnglandFans gets you home games, but you need to + version to get tickets for away games. And it only opens for application every 2 years I think. Next time will be after the 2010 world cup I guess.

18p a share, surely now the time is right!!

Surely he could buy the whole club for a minimum amount of money (not sure of an amount), and then IF (big one) we ever got back to the Prem he could sell for say 50 million. That's a hell of a return even if it is reliatively long term! A pretty good gamble in anyones eyes, not costing a huge amount of money and you wouldn't have to put any money into the club (no change there ;-) ) Would he be personally liable if it failed again as the owner??? -
I'd be a bit ****ed if they did get a joint bid bearing in mind they Spaniards had it in '82. Also, to bo honest they should be able to host it on their own, Spain that is. Next it'll be Wales and Scotland to guarantee a world cup place!

So Nick, at what point would you say that you would publicise these other "issues" about Jan? What is your line in the sand? Obviously you're not going to put them in the public domain at the moment, but surely there must be a point where you should if things continue?

And now Adams has closed, will the last person out of Woolston turn off the light :-( All we have now are about 20 take aways, some charity shops and Boots/Superdrug. How long before they close? The regeneration scheme cannot come soon enough, but who needs thousands of flats in the current economic climate?

But the cost of living would be cheaper. Ultimately the beef of most people is that immigrants get everything for free, that's just not the case. The second moan is that they're taking our jobs, as stated move to France, Germany, Spain tomorrow and take one of their jobs. After living in France for 3 years and commuting over the border to Geneva I too was an economic migrant, paying 15% tax instead of 40% on the same salary as in the UK. People's preconceptions about the French were totally wrong, they were most welcoming, friendly and helpful with my children learning French in school. So dell days, I guess you're still in the forces. What if a migrant was to die for the UK in battle, would that be acceptable? Was it OK to use the commonwealth soldiers during the various wars we have fought? Are the Gurkhas OK to come to the UK? Is your issue only with benefits or with wider range of issues around immigration?
-
The gates have been left open for so long as we are part of the EU like it or not. Thus, we can all move to other countries and seek work there if we like. If you want to stop the majority of immigration to the UK we would need to leave the EU, which I don't think is financially viable. There are obviously pro and anti EU sides that will quote figures about the impacts of staying in or leaving that will obviously suit their purposes. It would be great to see an honest opinion from someone who could be objective......
-
For every person that complains about this sort of thing, you could do the same in other EU countries you know. There is **** all stopping the whingers moving to another EU country and "taking their jobs".

Whilst oh so true Alpine, it's still funny. Their fans were talking about being a couple of players away from a Champions League outfit. Given the 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea and the most comfortable 1-0 you'll see in a long time, I'm happy! Well at least the most comfortable 1-0 you'll see in a long time unless you were at Derby ;-)

Lowe and WH Ireland: Why the connection is pivitol for our club

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/947f2d6a-6d85-11dd-857b-0000779fd18c.html WH Ireland, the Manchester-based stockbroker, slipped into a first-half loss because of sharply reduced turnover in its corporate finance and stockbroking divisions. The group, which also announced it would halve its interim dividend to 1p, said it was "difficult to see an early end to the current malaise in the Anglo-Saxon economies". Like other small and mid-cap stockbrokers, WH Ireland has suffered from a sharp drop-off in new listings on Aim. The group completed 17 transactions in the first half, including seven Aim initial public offerings and eight secondary fundraisings. Its stable of corporate clients shrank slightly to 74 companies, including 71 listed on Aim. Laurie Beevers, chief executive, said: "The disappointment of the first half has been retail stockbroking" - which accounts for 70 per cent of revenue. "We're going with the market. Volumes tend to follow that." In the six months to May 31, the group's pre-tax profit fell from £3.81m to a loss of £685,000, while turnover declined by a quarter from £21.5m to £16.2m. And see the bold section Scooby, they make 70% of their revenue from Stockbroking, that is not an investment bank. Lowe is extensively quoted on other sites, shouldn't he be concentrating on his other loss making business????
