  1. All pints are £2.80, also got some bottled ales along with Cobra, magners etc and Guinness surger is £3 Crucially...the queuing time is much better than the local pubs like the Chapel and the Lucius Curtis.
  2. New barrel on today, so hopefully not.
  3. Kick off match day with a pre-game drink at the BTC rowing club. If you’re looking for a cheap beer in a friendly environment, situated just round the corner from the Saints stadium, then the BTC rowing club is the place for you! We’ve got cheap drinks, a great atmosphere, parking (council) and even bacon rolls (not midweek) for you to enjoy before every Saints game. So, come on down, we’re at Cross House Road (just under the Itchen bridge), just five minutes from the stadium. Beers on tap:- Carlsberg, Carlsberg cold, Tetley Smoothflow and Upham Punter real ale. All profits fund our rowing facilities which includes a youth section (12 - 18).
  4. If you're looking to get involved in rowing, for social or competitive purposes BTC Rowing Club welcomes new members, whether they are new to the sport of rowing; relocating into the area; back from university for the summer; or are coming back into the sport after a longer break. Whatever your reason is, you will find us to be a friendly and very competitive club to join with a good social side. We have competing members from the age of 10 to 70 years. The novice division is a competitive division for first time rowers. Novice rowers train 2-3 times a week and attend around 8-12 regattas a season. They will race against other first time rowers at these regattas. There is usually a wide range of ages involved; winners of the novice division in recent years have included rowers aged from 15 to 50. There are sections for juniors (10 to 16), seniors (16+ to 40) and Veterans (over 40). All of the sections have facilities for male and female participants. We row locally in the Hants & Dorset Rowing Association during the summer months. This entails racing in coastal boats at regattas within the region at weekends. Regattas include Southsea (someone has to), 4 in Southampton, 3 in the Isle of Wight, Bournemouth, New Milton, Poole and Swanage (which is a great weekender on the water and in the pub). 5. Every little help lol
  6. Yeh I blocked you Nick, couldn't stand the gloating ;-) After 3 years I THOUGHT you would've forgotten the kicking we got.
  7. I would suggest you read the Mail article which talks about legal action. oh and Derry, you're so over the top. Seriously, defamation of character for commenting on a news paper article? If Mike Osman sued, or even contemplated suing for that I'd say he really would need to get a life. Lets all run scared of Mike's brothers, get a grip, his big brothers are bigger than your big brothers crap, didn't that stop when you were in primary school?
  8. Do you have to pass if you're only investing rather than directing? I would assume not as they also wou;dn't hold a majority?
  9. Sounds to me that "Lucy Carmichael" could quite happily be working on behalf of Portpin remembering our own dirty tricks campaigns.
  10. St George's was always a rugby school rather than football. A few on here know Charlie Coombs dad well as we use to play on Peartree Green as kids. Charlie's a pretty good player.
  11. Not necessarily so, we'd have to buy more quality players. Period. We're still using the basis of a squad from league 1 promotion. Staying in the premier league is notoriously difficult, we may well need to become a yo yo club to improve the squad.
  12. Agreed, it's amazing how much crap gets spoken when things are going badly. I take it NA didn't chose the players when we were getting promoted either, you can't have it both ways! I'm waiting for some drinking culture rumours to start anytime now......
  13. Welcome to Woolston, center of the universe ;-) In all seriousness, once the Vospers work progresses hoping Victoria road will be spruced up.
  14. I haven't been in the Yacht for a while, the food is ok, beer pretty much standard stuff. They usually have a band most weekends, all in all not a bad little pub.
  15. I would more than likely assume gas powered. I'm with Suomi, you wouldn't place a nuclear power station there, and besides at present we're not on the nominated list of sites. http://namrc.co.uk/industry-intelligence/uk-new-build-plans/
  16. An excellent read. The one thing that stands out for me is the lack of communication, I assume between the police and the ref that day. Why not delay the game by 15 minutes instead of making the decision to open the gates. Maybe when the documents will give an answer here. The stadium wasn't fit for purpose (same as Heysel). The commander wasn't that experienced. A whole host of issues came together on the day to cause the mayhem and deaths of the 96 unfortunate fans. Out of every incident lessons are learned, it's easy to look back on the event in hindsight and see issues, I'm sure this is the case for all of us in our lives as somepoint. Football has moved on and heeded the warning from this, fences going, all seater stadia, christ even civilized policing on occasion. The worst piece of all of this, was the cover up, the slurs, police altering documents, there's no accountability for their lies. Amazing how many plod go out on sick leave or retire oin medical grounds. Disgusting. And Kelvin McKenzie, the mouth piece of the government of the day, hang your head in shame. scum.
  17. They stopped the st being transferred to a different user, that's part of the t&cs I believe. Maybe deemed petty, but, within their rights wouldn't u agree? I agree with wade g, pit ur dummy back in Matt. Since the takeover he obviously has a problem with da management.
  18. I thought the counsellor went as he didn't want to give help with the couples sex life, which in my eyes is totally acceptable. That's wha was on the radio this morning.

  20. As you say later on in the thread, it may have just been a silly mistake, we'll have to see when it goes to court what the alcohol reading was. If he regularly gets a driver I'd have to err on the side of an error rather than screw the law of the country.
  21. I cannot fathom why these highly paid players cannot get a taxi to the venue and home.
  22. Because it's fecking Wigan
  23. Annecy is an excellent choice if a little harder to get to. Again, a lovely town, lake and some life to it. Also close to ski areas in the winter. Mobiles were expensive when I lived there, and it seems they haven't got any better. What's the score with the Internet and calls when you're in France? Did you try on the pays de gex side to the Jura mountains? Another good alternative is to go Nyon type way up the north side of the lake. That's a lively town or even Lausanne, great train links into geneva.
  24. Anyone else have one that wants to be treated like a princess? Not sure if it's just mine and her friends or if they are all as deluded.
  25. In fairness, the season we got stuffed at Spurs, 7-2, they had the same thing going on. I remember printed lyrics to songs.
