At the game. Brilliant performance so far. Totally outclassed them. Noone realised the free kick went in. Very satisfied. Need to keep attacking, let them back in the game after we scored a second. Defence is a rock so far. Papa need's to get in the game more. Ricky's song catching on!

Anyone else think that if we had this squad at the start of last season we wouldn't have been relegated?

Surely an ideal chance to give lallana a run out up front with lambert? Is mill's/holmes fit yet?

Firstly to get to 0 points! I think we should work on short term targets this season and stay in the league with any thing else a bonus, and try and build a squad which is going to be going for the title next year.

There were certainly positives to be taken from the game, but also a bit of an eye opener. I think we've just got to hope that we can get some decent wide players. Mills and Holmes could be like new signings for us. I think Lallana could be huge for us this season, but he needs to be given a position and stick to it and work to it. If this is left midfield then he needs to play as a left midfielder, or be good enough to make the difference to come inside and be influential enough to make a difference i.e. Modric for Spurs (although obviously not as good as him) The massive positive from what I saw today was the fact we were so much stronger. I haven't seen us play yet this season apart from Millwall on Sky...but I honestly think we are a better team now than we were last season. One thing i didn't mention in my other post was about how deep we were playing after we scored, we started playing ridiculously deep and just invited them onto us, and being a Saints fan...we just knew it was going to happen once we failed to score a second. G

Just got back from the game, decent game, absolutely devastated we didn't pick up the 3 points. Totally controlled the game and from we could see the referee totally bottled it at the end. The Stockport fans only made noise when they were having a go at the ref...all in all a pretty **** poor atmosphere I have to say. I thought Mellis looked alright, and Lallana looks decent.......but neither of them are wide players. We totally lacked any width and were leaving it up to Harding and Thomas to get forward as much as possible. Lambert looks very decent, but would look 10x the player if he had crosses being whipped into the box, you saw this when he hit the bar. Thomas really should have scored when he hit the bar, but you can't really expect him to, he's a CB !! Thought Hammond looks like a good signing and will grow in our team, hopefully beginning to control the game a lot more, he went missing a bit today I thought. My MOM definitely Trotman, the guy looks absolute class and exactly what we've been missing. Saganowski doesn't really look very interested in my opinion. I think he could have had a few goals today, but he just didnt gamble enough today. He doesn't seem to read the game very well and just didnt seem to link together with the rest of the team. Paterson looked lively when he came on and definitely looked like he wanted to be here. Will stand with what i said at the start of the season...Davis is the best keeper outside the PL. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day, gutted about not getting the win, but seems a lot more positive than other games, and seem to be heading in the right direction!! UTS G

So will possibly have to pay the crown a visit for 12 and then the armoury for a quick one. ;-)
