Can't do much worse than the others tbf.
-
But the tactics haven't stayed the same? We've played at least 4 different formations so far this seasons. Some fans are having a go at him for changing too much. The bottom line is we probably have the weakest squad in the league, with a big hole in a key position. (ST). Mara looks a million miles away from being a premier league starter right now. Diallo & AMN look incapable of playing alongside JWP so far this season. There isn't many of our team that would get in many other sides. We've lost far too much experience from the squad, Romeu, Long, Redmond, Stephens, Bednarek, Forster all left this summer. (I'm not saying these players are good enough btw, it's just a huge amount of premier league experience out the door. Right now i'd probably put Long ahead of Mara and A Armstrong) There is no doubt that it's an incredibly tough job to be manager of Saints right now.

Personally don’t see Semmens lasting much longer.
-
Isn’t this because his father is Ill and doesn’t want to move to England?
-
I would guess because he doesnt think there is a better option? AMN was clearly brought in to replace Romeu, but at the moment, he's nowhere near as good as him. We've tried 3 in the middle this season, I'd be tempted to go back to this tbh.

It's a completely different role playing CB and basically heading everything, than being able to know whats around you and be able to play the ball around on the floor. I.m not sure that Lyanco would be capable of that. Surely more logical to bring him in at the back and go to a back 3 than play him in midfield ? Feels a little bit like the annual stick Stephens in midfield mark II
-
Not played much. Looked pretty awful when he has played.
-
They will bully us no doubt. Have I missed something with Lyanco playing CM? I'm not aware of him ever playing as a CM before? They seem to be hitting form at the right time, and Scamacca and Paqueta are quality players. Rice will run the game probably. Not sure what I would change tbh. Anything from about 18 players could start, as everyone is out of form. I'd probably have Elyounoussi back in, as Stu Armstrong just looks awful atm. Possibly give AMN another go, but he looked miles off the pace against Everton, had a few more weeks of training. I'd probably go 4231... Bazunu; KWP ABK Sali Perraud; AMN JWP; Elyounoussi Aribo AArmstrong; Adams
-
How can you say he's not trying anything? We've played 4-2-2-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 3-5-2. He's tried Diallo and AMN at CM, he's tried Mara up front, he's tried Moi, Armstrong, Armstrong, Aribo in the attacking positions. He's tried Larios instead of Perraud...you could argue he's tried too many different things. Nothing is working really, as the players are inferior to the oppositions on the whole.
-
And this thread highlights the biggest issue...different people want completely different things, but blame the manager for trying different things, because at the moment none of them work. He cannot win at the moment, because the players are simply not good enough, and we do not have a goal threat.
-
Not a fucking chance. Lock thread
-
I think possibly, in the right system, alongside the right players, he could be an asset, and actually I think you could say the same thing about a lot of our players, but we cannot rely on him as a DM. He has talent there is no doubt, but give me Romeu every day…
-
He isn’t ready to play at this level, doesn’t save anything. I think he has huge potential but not seeing much difference between him and Angus Gunn at the moment, maybe Bazunu slightly better with the ball at his feet…but shot stopping….he’s really poor. Give me Fraser Forster over him this season, without a doubt.

4 or 5 has got to be “expected” tomorrow, anything better than that is a decent effort IMO. They are scintillating at the moment.
-
I’ve no idea about this. But from the forum a few months ago. They mentioned it was the police making the decision not the club. There was a load of stuff lobbed between the two sets of fans on Saturday, so not a huge surprise. Not sure there is many other clubs going through the same thing though. If it’s just a case of moving those from 1 into 2, then I’m not sure it’s a big issue as some are making it out to be tbh.

Sonnie Davis is one on the left.(Kelvin’s son) think the other is Dibling.
-
Going to Wolves. I see Sampaoli is likely to be going to Sevilla too.
-
Yeah, you can see why Moi has been playing, Stuey looks so poor atm.
-
In all seriousness, we have got to just go there with a plan and hope that it could pay off, Ralph hasn't done too badly when we've played against teams we know we just need to focus on defending against. Got two points off this lot last season, and although we're probably a worse side this season, we are "capable" of spoiling their afternoon, although incredibly unlikely. (yes I am aware they didnt have Haaland last season!) ----------------Bazunu -----DCC-------ABK-------Salisu------- KWP-------JWP---AMN---Diallo-------Larios --------------Elyounoussi--- -------------- Armstrong---------- You could probably swap a few of these in and out, but maybe sticking in the City kids might make them go easy on us.... Armstrong up top on his own to do the "Long" job. Elyounoussi to try and be the link man if we can get hold of the ball at all. It's a 1 off game, we're all expecting us to lose a minimum of 5-0 probably...one to keep the goal diff down and hope for the best.
-
Because at the moment, they're in the process of working out how each other play and not finding a settled team. As the season goes on, I expect their team to settle down into a first choice XI. I still think they're favourites for relegation btw, but it certainly would have been nice to play them early on in the season.
-
Yup - and the scouting of other sides has improved, we just seemed to be very good at that point, and had been on an upward trajectory for quite a while. When you're stuck i the bottom half not really doing anything, it's less appealing for your Alderweireld;s, VVD's, Wanyama's Osvaldo's, Lovren's, Tadic's and Pelle's... The dutch market has gone mental mainly because of Man Utd. No-one should be leaving that league for the sort of money Anthony left Ajax for, and it's inflated the whole league as they can now pay higher wages than a few seasons ago.
-
Still fully expect Forest's form to massively pick up after the world cup. Don't see this lasting all season.
-
And KWP who can play there once Tino is back fit.
-
I'd love to think the club will have a striker lined up to join on the 1st January, but never seems to happen. We need at least 1 AM/Wide Player depending on system, and 1 top drawer striker to stand a chance of staying up IMO. If we cannot score we aren't going to win many games...Mara is nowhere near being good enough yet. Fine with him coming off the bench occasionally, but should not be starting in this league.
-
Why are fans so short sighted? Clearly done a very good job elsewhere, and was always going to be incredibly difficult at the start of the season with a brand new squad.
