  1. They have some very decent attacking players, Olise, Edouard, Eze and Zaha. We will need to defend well. Zaha vs Lyanco could be an interesting one...! Not sure whether we might go back to 4 atb, or whether we're set to go 3-5-2 with no KWP. AMN or Elyounoussi can do a job at RWB, no doubt. Difficult to argue against the same team really. Possibly Adam Armstrong out, but he does offer a bit of pace to the side. Should be a good day out regardless, although very annoyingly, I'm at a wedding so not going to be there! COYS
  2. Heading into the Love Island Villa once he gets sacked too I heard
  3. That was last years rules I think. They changed it, so now it's only if it hits the arm of the player that scores it's now given as handball. The pen though, thats not been given all season, it's the same as Salisu's last week.
  4. Doesn’t seem much for. Premier league player these days. Similar boat to Moussa, do you risk losing him for nothing, or can he do a job for us over the next few years and protect the asset? He’s probably worth an extension IMO, depending on what the plan is with investment moving forward.
  5. The striker was Broja. Tuchel pulled the plug on it late on, and then got the boot. Chelsea messed us around all summer. No doubt we’ve been looking at Gakpo for a while and was certainly one we thought we could get. Ten Haag going to Utd and enquiring about him caused us a load of issues with that one.
  6. I’d be fuming if I’d gone there, we’d lost 2-0 to those goals. That pen, theyve not been given all season, and the first goal IMO, should never stand.
  7. Eze is very decent. As is Olise. Will be difficult to contain them. But we’re starting to hit a bit of rhythm. If we could nick a win here, it would be absolutely massive for us, and we can start looking up the table a bit.
  8. I’m not sure whether it’s baked in him, or whether it’s tactical, but he’s so rarely either in the box, or between the posts, he’s never going to score many. From what I see, I never see him being more prolific than Shane Long ever was. I’m not really sure how he scored so many for Blackburn, but there is no way he should be starting in this league. I respect his efforts, and he’s done ok wide left, but he always seems to be a yard off it.
  9. Won't get a better 4th choice CB. Proper cult hero already tbh. Some fans made their minds up on him because Torino fans said he was crap, and then he had a bit of a mare on his debut away at Sheff Utd. But more than capable of stepping in, gives his all, and gives us a bit of physicality that we lack throughout the squad.
  10. Agree with this. He's not the best left back in the world, but he's more than good enough for us, and love his passion and application. Will be very interesting to see what happens when we get Tino, Lavia, ABK all fit, and probably at least 1 forward player brought in. Could be a really exciting second half to the season.
  11. A really good week for him I thought. Excellent first half against West Ham, a very decent performance against Bournemouth, and thought he did a great job for the team. I just wish he offered a bit more in the final third, but fantastic assist today. At the end of the day. It’s completely reliant on movement in front of him. Deserves to be starting atm,
  12. Another very decent performance by the manager. Great week for him no doubt about that. Imagine if we had a goalscorer…!
  13. Wasn’t Gakpo, or Broja who were the ones we wanted. The money being talked about for Delap was ridiculous, so glad we kept away from that one.
  14. Wouldn’t surprise me if Elyounoussi started RWB in a 5, given he played there midweek.
  15. Thought about if we had a threat up front, defences would be more wary / deeper ? As blunt as we are, and no strikers that get in behind, means they just push up and squeeze it.
  16. Best tactics against them is to get at them, but think they’ll beat us regardless. Keep the score down, and move on to next one. Try keep it tight and nick a draw.
  17. I’d love to know where some fans think we should be with the squad we have. Some proper deluded fans out there. We have one of the least experienced/ worst squads in the league, and have the worst selection of strikers. Where do fans think we should be? IMO, we’re where we should be. I hope this young side, can grow second half of the season and bloody a few noses. But regardless, without a goalscorer, games we should win it’s quite easy to draw or lose.
  18. Edozie?! What’s he done to deserve a start? Would keep him as an impact sub personally. Only way we beat them is by nicking one and bullying them out of it IMO
  19. Think he’s got to the World Cup regardless tbh,
  20. Thought. Given the circumstances. It was an excellent away win. No win is easy in this league, especially away from home. You look at our team and there isn’t huge quality there, but the fought and battled and left everything out there tonight. Adams was immense. Shame we have Arsenal next as we hopefully will get a bit of confidence back, especially with Lavia on the way back too. JWP much better tonight too.
  21. So so good. Showed how to lead a line tonight, superb.
  22. I would normally expect changes tonight anyway with 3 games in a week, and a day less rest than them. Luckily all our players are shit so it doesn’t really make much difference who plays.
  23. I never said he was...
  24. Tbf, there were quite a few, I went with a bunch of mates who support west ham, and they said there was quite a few they knew in the home areas, not 100% confirmed in fairness
  25. Redmond was better than them all last season, so I was shocked when he was let go. Would be starting every week for me.
