He's shown nothing to suggest he's capable of doing it this season at least. Got a lot of promise no doubt, but I don't see him bagging 10 goals in the second half of the season

Wouldn't be modern football without public transport issues

So what we thinking re team then…struggling to remember who plays for us…! See no real reason to rotate or play players that aren’t first choice, so strongest XI please. Poss DCC starts instead of one of the WC boys. 4-3-3/3-5-2? Bazunu; KWP ABK Salisu Perraud; Lavia; JWP AMN; Armstrong Adams Armstrong
-
Although I agree that if he is we're in a lot of trouble, but the fact he offers more than Adam Armstrong says a lot.
-
A couple of rumours would be nice. Hope the back room stuff hasn’t been a distraction…need a decent striker in the door on NYD.
-
He’s done everything right so far, and looking forward to seeing us next week, will be interesting to see what’s changed over the last month. Highly likely Mac Allister will be missing on Boxing Day too?
-
No chance....surely! And their source is the "online betting guide" which can't be a proper source!?
-
He's clearly grown up a bit, and had a really good tournament, but for whatever reason, he didnt fit here, despite a few great moments. No-one is paying £50m for a player who has proven he can't do it consistently throughout his whole career.

Think there will be a big walk up, once the world cup is over focus will turn back to saints.
-
Gutted for him and a massive shame. At least he’s got one of his best mates (Tino) to help him through it, having just done the same thing. Hopefully he can be back to playing towards the start of next season, realistically probably makes it very difficult for his longer term career at Chelsea. Expect to see him loaned out maybe next January for a few months and see how he gets on before reassessing him in summer 2024. Fingers crossed he can come back stronger.
-
I look forward to him having us at the top of the premier league during his tenure, given Ralph did it without much investment.
-
Not sure I agree. I think most people are underwhelmed because of his pedigree but hope he can do it for us. Surely that is a completely fair reaction to someone who has never managed at the top level anywhere. I’m not sure I’ve heard many (if any) people write him off as a poor appointment. My opinion is pretty much the same. That he’ll do a good job to keep us in the league, unless we sign a quality striker. I’d be surprised if he can do a better job than Ralph.

Agent agreed terms, saints agreed they’d pay the money they wanted. Same as Gakpo really. Player didn’t feel the move was right. (what i was told anyway?!)
-
I'd rather that than buy another Adam Armstrong...
-
Didn’t want to come.
-
Would be a very decent signing. Cracking player.
-
Only as good as your forward players, and ours are the worst set in the league. Unless this changes, we go down.
-
Can imagine they’ll be having a bit of a reset over the next few years, like they did a while ago. Expect him to be more heavily involved over the next few years.
-
TBH, they've both now had half a season at the club, and some game time in the premier league. I'm also pretty certain Ralph would get more out of them in the second half of the season too. January is absolutely massive for us, on and off the pitch. We have a bunch of young players who have had a few months to adjust, and also a month off to review their performances in the first half of the season. But regardless, we need a striker and hopefully they're through the door and ready to hit the ground running by the time we play Forest on the 4th Jan.
-
GOod excuse from someone who has had a poor tournament so far, and is in charge of set pieces....
-
Yup - classic shite trains. Not sure I can be arsed to go to that tbh.
-
Bonkers that they haven't lost for something like 30 games. They looked woeful. Can't believe the couldnt get in behind that Saudi team. but fair play to them, they did a job on them. Interesting !
-
Didnt we sign him for £5m and sold him for £3m or something, hardy the end of the world. He also had a great song too, but barely ever got sung for obvious reasons. I remember singing it a lot when in Denmark for the Midgetland game.

Dont particularly like Grealish but fair play for doing that celebration.

Iran are appalling.
