Yup, Sky showing the league cup final 2017 right now, and looking at that team… Forster Cedric Stephens Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Davis JWP Tadic Redmond Gabbiadini Its no wonder we’ve fallen massively, nearly all of those would get in our team now, and some big leaders in Bertrand Romeu Davis Romeu Tadic

I will be for the Man city game.
-
Not sure you could play Edozie and Ballard or Morgan. We need some players with some experience. Macca to start for me this weekend
-
I’d have Elyounoussi over Aribo personally. Aribo is too lazy.
-
Not sure, I’d rather he was realistic, and aware. Personally anyway. Just talking crap in the media is pointless, give me Ralph’s honest interviews over his every day of the week.
-
He’s a big lump, and ideal for Jones’s style of play.
-
No bet if he thinks there are no problems, then he’s more out of his depth than I ever imagined!
-
He’s been quality all season. Clearly Ten Haag likes him and he’s responded, good to see him firing again as he’s a cracking player when he’s on it.
-
At least he runs. Unlike Adam Armstrong. Pretty sure he’d offer more from a footballing perspective too.
-
If he could learn to run, and pass, he might be a slightly competent footballer. He is utter shite and another drain on the finances, can’t imagine his wages are small.
-
I think there should be some banners / signs / chants aimed at SR at craven cottage…they need to be fully aware the fans are not happy.

Sport Republic seem to have spent more time swanning about trying to expand their portfolio, than focusing on the supposed “flagship” club. They might have spent a few quid in the summer, but they also picked up the club pretty cheaply, one with quite a few assets, and bought players that aren’t likely to depreciate. The only real cost is the wages which must be the lowest in the league. They made an absolute mess of the summer. Long, Forster, Romeu and Redmond would improve our starting XI, which says a huge amount. And would also give us a bit of experience in the club. It was always a huge gamble, and one that has backfired massively. We already had one of the worst squads in the league in the summer, and we made it weaker. Now we’ve also made the managerial position weaker and we have no chance.

We will probably lose. I don’t have a clue who is best to play as most of them are shit. Midfield is a big problem for us, Diallo is shit, and AMN is also shit and doesn’t want to be here. We will be over run. Do we have any options in the youth team in midfield ? Macca/Caballero KWP ABK Salisu Perraud JWP AMN Elyounoussi SArmstrong Adams Edozie Not sure why I’m bothering going tbh, lose this one and the fans are going to turn if they haven’t already. I want to see some effort, some sprinting, some kind of Tactical nous from Jones, and some actual football rather than “boot it to Adams”. Maybe even a few passes to each other. Happy new year !

I don’t think much of him atm, but I think you can see he’s got something and I think he will be a competent player and probably one worth taking a gamble on. The larger issue being we took gambles on all of our signings this summer, but n positions we needed players to come in and hit the ground running. As most ppl said all summer, we had to sign a striker that was going to score 10-15 goals this season, and some out of nothing because of the lack of quality we have in behind the striker positions. Ings and Broja papered over the cracks, and it was clear to see that when Broja was out of form last season, we were awful.

Players good enough to be in starting XI: ABK, Salisu, KWP, Lavia, JWP, Adams. Young players who aren’t ready yet but possibly fine for cameos off the bench: Bazunu, Larios, Edozie, Livramento Mara (cos of injury) These probably aren’t good enough, or certainly aren’t good enough to be starting in the premier league. Possibly keep a few for squad depth: Macca, Caballero, AMN, Lyanco, DCC, Djenepo, Walcott, Aribo, Elyounoussi, Diallo, Armstrong x2, Unfortunately, we don’t have enough good players in the top bracket to survive IMO. Some of the ones in the bottom have the potential to be in the top…DCC, Perraud, S Armstrong, but that’s about it. so that’s leaves the following players needed in Jan: GK DM (assuming Lavia is going to continue having issues), AM x2 ST. And then possibly a LB. We just have ended up with so much crap in the squad, but if you buy players for 6-12m then likelihood is. They won’t be premier league level players. That’s what has happened.
-
We are fucking lazy, which makes me wonder why we brought in 2 of the laziest players I’ve ever seen, Aribo and AMN, they don’t ever sprint, infuriating.
-
We shouldn’t be relying on a 20 year old keeper, plying behind a bunch of relatively young defenders. We really needed a solid keeper to give the team strong foundations to build on this season. There is no doubt he has promise, but so did Gunn. He still hasn’t recovered. It’s a huge ask, and frankly Bazunu isn’t ready to be a first choice GK in the premier league.
-
He’s really poor and low on confidence not a very good combination. Just doesn’t make enough saves for me. Needs to be taken out the firing line.
-
There is 0% chance he goes to Spurs.
-
No, just play for, and he hasn’t played for city this season.
-
Wouldn’t happen. Plus they have a sell on clause anyway, so they’d take a cut of the profit regardless.
-
4-1-4-1 for me. Call it a 433 if you wish. Bazunu; KWP DCC Sali Perraud; Lavia; Elyounoussi JWP SArmstrong Edozie; Adams
-
Needs another chance at saints, and Is a better player than Armstrong. Can’t see him coming back early though. problematic age really.
-
Hoof.

I have a load of West Ham mates, who say his legs have gone. But he’d still be an upgrade for us. Wouldn’t come though, think he’s more bothered about setting himself up for life after football, now he has his podcast, and the odd media duty,
