Downes - obvious, so not sure you'd be counting him Schneiderlin - loved him but wouldn't have thought so Hojbjerg - Spurs want rid and have for a while JWP - Never wanted to go to West Ham, and long way from home Tadic - does he count as a mid? Harry Reed - Logical choice - decent solid prem level midfielder at a good age Romeu? Redmond? Chamberlain Lavia - Loan? Stu Armstrong re-signing? Struggling for names after that tbh...

I'd only seen Swansea fans in bits that he left, most rated him, but clearly his style splits opinions between modern and old school "get it forward" types.

Nathan Wood is a bit of an odd one for me. He’s an average championship level CB, which we already have a few of. I thought if we were signing a CB it would be someone better, but maybe money is being prioritised elsewhere, we have no idea where we are with PSR / FFP. It’s tough as I would imagine in an ideal world we’d be building on last years squad with 3/4 starters, but we seem to be trying to bulk the squad out on the cheap atm and then maybe will add a couple of bigger “transfers” closer to the end of the window. Wood is quick atleast… My only other concern is this is all very new for Martin, not managed in this league before and if he’s pretty much in charge of recruitment which has been reported, then maybe he’s going with what he knows with Wood, ORiley etc. Time will tell…

Ronaldo has always been woeful at free kicks, he’s just scored a couple of worldies in his career, but his conversation rate is terrible,

Arsenal brought in Partey or Jorginho to sit in behind him though. He's England's deepest midfielder. FWIW, I think Rice is decent, but another player who has massively underwhelmed in this tournament so far.

I'm sure it will be leaked ahead of that date anyway, when was the last time we had a home kit that wasn't leaked at least a week before ?

Has been linked a few times recently, and friends with THB and Taylor so could have legs. Can't see us signing him and Sagawara unless we get rid of Bree too. We do need to be a bit careful we don't have to spend the first 2 months of the season teaching these players how we play.

Yeah - can't imagine it will be Draper now. I'd seen others claiming it will be "Duelbits" which is another gambling firm, but when finances are so crucial to performance you can't blame the club as you're only being left behind if you can't get that revenue in.

I think all are very likely, though I'm not sure we'll be getting better than Manning/Bree as backup full backs, and if money is tight, happy for them to stay and do the job for now. Obviously we've already lost Brooks, Rothwell and Stuey from last seasons squad too, though our squad was probably 1 or 2 too big last season. Some decisions to be made on likes of Charles, Edozie, Sulemana, Mara that's for sure, along with likes of Bree, Manning, Stephens and even Smallbone. I just hope we don't underestimate how difficult this league is this season. I can't be arsed with being miserable every Saturday for the next 9 months!

I think that's incredibly unlikely personally. I think they'll be a large chunk of business done by us this summer, we will need to be quite a bit stronger than last season, if this is the case, we might as well just accept relegation now. Sounds like this Sagawara is basically a winger too, and defensively very suspect, so will be interested to see how that one plays out given how intricate our system is. The Ghoddos links have all gone very quiet. Personally I think the starting point is Taylor, Downes, Fraser & Sagawara. We undoubtedly need considerably more strength in attacking areas. I'm expecting a bunch of the following to leave too if not all: DCC, Lyanco, Sulemana, Onuachu, Mara, Alcaraz, ABK, Lis, Adams With additional possibles of any of: Bednarek, Aribo, Bree, Edozie, Charles, SAA, Larios for various reasons, potentially some out on loan. Squad is shaping up to look something along the lines of: GK: NEW, Bazunu, Macca, Lumley, RB: Sagawara, Bree LB: Taylor, Manning, Larios CB: Bednarek, THB, Stephens, NEW DM: Downes, NEW, Charles CM: Lallana, Smallbone, Aribo AM/Wide: Armstrong, Fraser, Edozie, NEW ST: NEW, Stewart, NEW Time will tell...

Is Moder any good? Personally I think KDH is overrated (some talk of him going to Chelsea?!), but he's obviously got some suitors. Leicester need to sell, are they still starting on minus points? They look in trouble at the moment.

Seems like a decent solid signing, who is used to playing in a similar system to what we play.
