  1. I managed to record it all, however no idea how to get it from my watch to my phone! Also got to drive home, will have a go later if no one else got there first. Generally my summary would be, people were firm but fair and respectful. My gut feel is they didn’t realise how much the bad feeling was towards Jones. They don’t agree with some of the decisions but they don’t want to micromanage the manager, they have to let him put his own stamp on it. They’re expecting a big response this weekend playing high tempo front footed, quick transition football. They’re all disappointed with where we are but they believe Jones is still the right man, as of now, (though I did have a brief off the record chat with Rasmus, and my gut feeling is they haven’t sacked him because they haven’t found anyone else.) The academy pathway is a key part of the club going forward. They need to (as a board) do more work to be closer to the fans and more involved with the local community. The bloke who was in charge of it kept trying to move it away from Jones chat but fans kept going back to it. There is an idea that all SR clubs will play with a similar ethos, so they have the opportunity to flip players between the clubs, but at the same time, that’s not specifically formation and specific tactics etc. that’s down to the manager. Probably missed a load out but sure someone else can add to this post. Driving home now.
  2. I'm calling bullshit, but who knows.
  3. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11722147/Southampton-fans-bombard-clubs-Twitter-account-JonesOUT-ahead-fan-forum-tonight.html?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton It's a start...
  4. I think those figures are absolutely miles off reality. DCC was one of Marseille's highest earners, and the reason he cost so little in a transfer fee. Livramento less than what JJMorgan wanted? England International (lol) AMN on £35k a week? Not a chance.
  5. Personally, I think if we'd signed Gakpo, he'd be doing far better. Playing for Liverpool as a new signing replacing Mane is a massive ask and way more pressure. He's missed the step when he got used to the league, and he's doing that for a top side. He's not ready to make that step up yet IMO.
  6. And Bertrand at LB,
  7. I think it will be, but will be interesting to see if anything spontaneous happens... Clearly they can't control people saying what they want. And if it is a PR bullshit fest, then we know exactly the situation at the club. I think we're over the line of just turning up and sitting and listening tbh...
  8. Replies are United....
  9. Well it's highly likely you've got our score right unless JWP sticks a free kick in top bins, it's more about whether we can stop them scoring! Probably not. Smart money on 0-1.
  10. It’s tomorrow. Might be why. 😂
  11. Some people suggesting simply printing off and holding up the red #JonesOUT banner
  12. I see the twittersphere has blown up tonight with hundreds of people tweeting #JonesOut and generally replying to anything and everything with the below banner. There has been multiple people talking about potential protests, etc. This thread isn’t for people to take the piss out of others that want to make a stand, but to discuss ideas of how to make themselves heard. Assuming he’s still here on Saturday, there’s been rumours of marches, chanting outside stadium, sit in protest, and of course chants etc. The fans forum will obviously be very interesting tomorrow, so will be interesting to see how many people turn up to protest outside the ground before the youth game tomorrow night. Is there certain things that the fans can all do inside the ground on Saturday, I know the white hanky protest didn’t work very well some years ago 😂, not helped because Pochettino was brilliant from the off.
  13. The problem with this logic, is we'd be better off with the current lot without Jones than with him. He's toxic, and no-one wants him. The fans hate him. At a minimum getting rid of him would unite the fans with the players.
  14. He's already had the Brighton, Forest and Villa home games, we've been appalling in all of those. Add in the away games too, he doesn't deserve the Wolves game to throw away another "winnable" home game.
  15. Well thats infuriating, had Jones at 10/1 to be next gone...all they had to do was announce it this morning. Furious.
  16. I'm surprised it's going ahead, I'm not sure whether that means it's more or less likely that Jones will be gone. It will be pretty toxic (hopefully)
  17. If true, it's time to vocally turn on the board. If he keeps his job it's an absolute disgrace.
  18. They'll get a £20k fine or something, you know how this works...
  19. It will be something between rage and humour ! It should be quite fun though watching the fans berate him for 90 mins.
  20. Yup I agree. JWP was called in for a meeting this morning...no idea if that was to formalise or not, but sounds promising.
  21. No idea if he's reputable or not...
  22. Hope you all got on at 10/1 on Saturday evening !!!
  23. Only for a couple of weeks
