Onuachu also offers very little in front of goal, and defensively in the press. Adam’s is rightly in front of him IMO. He looks like a bit of a desperate signing in all honesty,

Go into this one with a bit of hope, given the fact we seem to be slightly more comfortable away from home when teams need to come at us…team pretty much picks itself IMO, unless anyone is injured, but you’d think with the break most if not all, will be fit. Bazunu; KWP Bednarek ABK Perraud; Lavia JWP; Walcott Alcaraz Sulemena; Adams Personally I’d quite like Salisu in for Bednarek, but doesn’t make a massive difference. Maybe Sulemena might be a better option off the bench, and wouldn’t be unhappy with Stuey or Elyounoussi instead.

I think this thread is pretty brutal tbh, a young lad, new league, mid season joining a completely disjointed club who is bottom…it’s not a big surprise. He’s got talent, no doubt about that. Not sure he was the right signing this January though….

Personally I think it's more likely we finish bottom on 34 points, than stay up on 34 points.

I don't agree the league is awful this year. I think it's probably the best it's ever been, there are no whipping boys. It's clear that a middling club goes on a bad run they get sucked into the relegation battle. There does however, seem to be a lot of teams with a lack of goals in their sides, and think thats probably skewing the quality in the league this year. If a team has a goalscorer (Brentford, Fulham) or has goals all over (Brighton) suddenly you fly up the league.

Che is playing over Onuachu IMO, because he can defend from the front and put a shift in, and probably offers more all around than Onuachu does, I also think having some competition is a kick up the ass for Che too. Like you say he also has the experience. There is no doubt that we're looking at not throwing games away in the first half under Selles, whereas under Jones we threw games away before we'd started. If we can keep it tight in most games this season, turn narrow 1-0 losses into draws, and draws into the odd win, then we have a genuine chance on staying up, which I think the majority of us never thought we had a chance of a few months ago. I've no idea on stats, but it feels like the players are working way harder and covering more ground under Selles than under Jones. The players never wanted Jones, and clearly were not playing for him.

Ah, fair enough ! 👍

Bit of a joke this, given the original tickets I assume are still valid ? My mate paid £35 I think back in September or whenevr it was.
-
And if he'd gone before we played Wolves like he should have been, we could be sat in 15th on 25 points! If we never brought him in in the first place we might be top half! Who knows. But what we do know it was an absolute disaster hiring him, and he should have gone way earlier than he did.

At the end of the day, the club decided to give Macca a new deal, and let Forster go. Issue was Macca turned to shit after signing that contract, and Forster got some self confidence back. We ended up giving the wrong experienced keeper a new contract, and it was never going to be an option keeping them both on 70k a week. The club has just made a massive mess out of the keeper situation, and we’re clearly expecting Bazunu to be better than he is, and Macca more able to step in than he has been. Unfortunately, he got injured just as Bazunu was going to be dropped,

2 clean sheets in last three that's why. He was decent at Chelsea, he's been pretty woeful in most other games this season. He has something about him, but without a doubt he shouldn't have been relied upon this season given our predicament.
-
Most people called it back in January! Clearly our best midfield 3.

Would expect it will be a hybrid of Chelsea (A) and Leicester (H). We played this team against Chelsea: Baz; AMN Bednarek ABK Perraud; Elyounoussi Lavia JWP Armstrong; Onuachu Sulamena I think we'll go with a 4-4-1-1/4-5-1/4-3-3 however you want to put it...he seems pretty settled on the back 4, don't know if he sees Salisu as first choice or not due to his injury. Assuming Charly is out...my punt would be: Bazunu; AMN Bednarek ABK KWP; Elyounoussi JWP Lavia Walcott; Sulemena; Adams Wouldn't be surprised to see Salisu start, but we do need the continuity at the back, we've chopped and changed it all season and it's hurt us. Also not sure whether Stuey might play because he's a bit better defensively than Theo. If we can somehow nick a draw here it would be amazing, but I'm expecting a bit of a thumping if I'm honest.

Based on ? Would be awful if so…

Matter of opinion. I’ve never slated Redmond, I think he was very hard done by, and I’d have definitely kept him last summer. Redmond, Forster and Romeu would walk into this side right now. Tella maybe but he wouldn’t have had the development if he’d stayed so probably wouldn’t be the same player.
-
Agreed, give me Redmond over the lot we have now every day of the week
-
They might, they're poor, a lot of it depends on Maddison being fit. We are down regardless.
-
Good lord, this must be the game with the most miserable and least confident set of fans right now. Made me chuckle that they think they'll actually lose to us. And they think we'll definitely score. Might be a woeful 4-4 2 OG's each, few shit pens given away, and maybe a goal from a few free kicks.
-
Could be a key player for us next season, don’t see us letting him go unless he causes a big issue and Burnley offer us a load of money, he’s really good mates with Obafemi though and they’ve clicked.
-
He’s absolutely hopeless. I look forward to him leaving this summer, we can hope…
-
We’re worse than that, we basically kick it in for them every game !

It felt like we were pretty much playing a 4-1-4-1 at the start of the season under Ralph. We certainly did at Leicester and at home vs Chelsea, as Lavia sat in front, and JWP was playing a long way up the pitch. -------------Baz KWP ----ABK----Salisu---Djenepo -------------Lavia---------------- Aribo Elyounoussi JWP AArmstrong -------------Mara----------------- We swapped Perraud in for Djenepo, Diallo in for Aribo and Adams in for Mara for Chelsea (H). If we look to play a similar system to that, it probably leaves us with the following with new players accounted for: --------------Baz KWP ----ABK----Salisu---Perraud -------------Lavia---------------- SArmstrong Elyounoussi JWP Sulemena -------------Onuachu-----------------

He had an operation in January. Might not see him this season.

I compared him to Davis, because I meant hes the link between the "midfield" and the "attack", picking up the ball from JWP/Lavia, and playing that ball before the assist. Of course he is nowhere near as good as Davis,
