I did stick a tenner on Moyes first sacked at 14/1 a few days ago when I first heard about his conflict with the DOF, seems like Moyes has lost, they won’t be signing Maguire, Mctominay, JWP, Barnes like they wanted.

Interesting, everything I’ve ever seen about Nyland has been awful…! Doesn’t give my much confidence but I guess it’s fine as a 3rd keeper.

Difficult press conference I think too. Timing wise and situation wise. not sure if I missed it, but wasn’t a direct question about JWP, which almost makes me think that the journalists were told not to directly ask about him, seems odd not to. He also wasn’t involved at all in the video the club posted yesterday with snippets from various players. Seems strange to not involve club captain? I know he was there, but this felt odd to me. One of those press conferences where he couldn’t really win regardless of what he said.

If we get offered £50m odd for a kid who is coming back from an ACL then so be it. We can’t refuse that, keep KWP and Bree, Manning and Larios at LB. I still don’t understand how it’s a good move for Newcastle or Tino though, I’ve read they think he’s going to play LB, which doesn’t make sense at all.

Danso had a fantastic season last season. Shame we never gave him a chance at CB.

Money talks…pretty sure the more tweets he does the more engagement and therefore the more money. More chat about bigger clubs hits a larger amount of users, therefore more money in his pocket…

I always thought Perraud was one of the first to leave, as rumours were circling he’d agreed to move to the bundesliga before the end of last season, I’m surprised he’s still here, but also, not quite sure where he fits in with Manning quite clearly going to be first choice.

Could the link with Button and Macca not being in the squads suggest he might be off? Not heard any rumours but could well happen.

Why would we be signing a new RB? We already have Tino, KWP and Bree, we should only need 2. I can only see us signing Aaron’s if KWP and Tino both leave which could easily happen, but doesn’t seem to be that much interest in KWP.

With the right additions and sales we will be top 2. Having Armstrong up top all season, and players who can’t play out from the back with a dodgy keeper we could easily finish bottom half. Pretty impossible to say right now, but I am confident with what the club is trying to do too to bottom, it will take time to align everything and bring in the right players to play the system. If I had to make a prediction now, I’d guess we might be bottom half after the first third of the season and finish strongly and get into the playoffs. Then who knows what happens in that lottery!

Oh I completely agree, I have the same concerns as I did at the start of last season. Weak at the back and give cheap goals away, including a less than solid keeper. And a lack of creativity and goal threat. I think we probably need either Sulemena to stay or us to bring someone else in if similar standard, and we desperately need a new no 9. But we *should* still go up with the finances at our disposal. However if we don’t get the recruitment right, we won’t, and there is no doubt the first month will be tough with a bit of a mish mash squad.

Don’t think we should be worried about any sides this year. We have more money and better players than most, if we get it right we’ll go up.

Best of luck to him, always tried his hardest, never downed tools, simply not good enough but that’s not his fault. Nice move for him, and I’m assuming he gets to play champions league too.

So basically: Bazunu wasn’t single handedly my responsible for our relegation, but statistically he was the worst keeper in Europe last season and a key reason why we didn’t give ourselves a chance of staying up. Having watched him all season, it’s incredibly difficult to disagree with those stats. Macca is also nowhere near good enough at this level too. Ultimately, we have no idea if Bazunu will be good enough this season, but multiple errors during pre season aren’t a good way to kick off the season. I was hoping a clean slate and some strong performances in pre season under the new management this summer will help him get some confidence, but that hasn’t yet. I have high hopes for him, but I am concerned that him giving away soft goals will cost us promotion.

I get the marketing, but why bother with the trees, black and yellow trim would have been classy. Always feel like simple is better personally and they’ve tried too much here IMO, still think it’s best of 3 though.

Obviously we have no idea of the details, but on the face of it this sounds like a shocking deal for Saints.

If we’re going to go up this year, I feel we need a new striker, proper talisman striker who hasn’t been battered by recent seasons. I’m still expecting Adams to go due to his contract situation, and wouldn’t be surprised if Arma goes, but Russell seems to like him so maybe he can get him playing, Onuachu will probably end up out on loan somewhere. Sulemana who knows, same with Tella. But I wouldn’t be putting any money on any of those scoring 20 goals this season,

Would be a decent signing for them on a free. Good lad off the pitch too,
