Well.. who knows? I love Morgan but according to comments above he's worth about 20m!! For a young lad whose had one season at the top level and just about held his own. Not a full international and (lets face it) has no real allegiance to Saints. Course he wouldn't go to a more successful team! OK - forget MS... why are the only confirmed players we've tried to buy been defensive midfielders? because that's our weakest position? I think not...

maybe... do Spurs need to sell Bale? No - but they may end up selling him anyway. Don't be so naive.... players follow a pay cheque. If he wants to move (for maybe Champions League)he will get one. Even Cortese can't stop the general economic forces from working against us

Just a twitter rumour but from a normally quite honest journo. Would explain why we're so aggressively chasing expensive defensive midfielders when we know we need to re-inforce in lots of other areas first (up front etc)

Looks like he's off to Real Sociedad (12m euros) I now understand why we've been so desperate to sign a defensive midfielder!! I thought it was to replace Cork but now I know better. So.. lots of names in the hat, but now you know it's to replace Morgan who do ya want?

I'm sure i'll get blasted for it but I'm not convinced Rickie's got what's needed at this level. I love him to bits but I seriously think we need to look at replacing him this summer (if we stay up!)

For me, the concern is we look a little toothless. pretty football in the middle of the pitch with no end result.Rickie in particular doesn't look like scoring from open play and hasn't done for a few games. Having said that we deserved at least a point today. Clyne missed a sitter!

They've fallen so low that they're pretty much irrelevant. However, remembered just how much I hate them after going to a local boozer yesterday and getting into some 'banter' with the landlord who is a die hard Skate. All he could talk bout was how great their fans are. I tried to explain attendances to him but to be fair I think he found numbers a little complicated. I then tried to explain how essentially they had cheated their way to the FA Cup by buying lots of players they couldn't afford. Again I think he failed to understand the logic. However, in answer to the question: a) Skates b) Man Utd (smug armchair fans everywhere... especially down South) c) Spurs - deluded muppet fan base who sing our frickin song!!! (We are only capable of singing one song recently so I have got quite protective over it)

Well... do you remember the 4 piece marching jazz band at The Dell? They played real instruments and created atmosphere... Finished with a New Orleans upbeat version of OWTSGMI as the players came out. Inspiring. Or of course we could just listen to ear splitting volume cheesy house tunes. mmmm.. it 's a tricky one...

I agree.. we will always lose players to bigger clubs - at the present time, Arsenal are a much bigger club than us, hence his head will be turned and he will go.

IF he goes, it will obviously be for a lot more than 5m. However, I would be surprised if the lad's head hasn't been turned.. I'm sure the huge wage increase and glamour of being at Arsenal will have some pull on the kid. And if a player decides he wants to go then he probably will. Doesn't show any lack of ambition on behalf of the club (they do want 50% of the team to be academy players), but we are not yet an attractive enough PL club to keep hold of all our players. NA/NC will NOT want to sell him but if a player wants to go then that's it.

Keep Guly in starting XI... he retains possession and also works his nads off to tackle back. He looks to have lots of potential and promise but he needs to start converting that to something tangible soon. Shaun Wright Phillips looked amazing as a kid with amazing potential BUT........ Maybe we need to play a striker with pace and vision that would compliment GR's style to bring the best out of him...

SRL is unfortunately being found out at this level. Don't get me wrong - I love him to bits for what he's done but he's just not mobile and agile enough for this level.He also looks like he's worked this out as well - his body language is terrible. Adkins got lucky..... he didn't make a change until 12 mins left despite the fact we went down with 8 mins gone and then looked utterly toothless! (Yes - I know he chnaged the formation prior to that but it didn't make a difference!) Defender did not need to handball it - a very lucky pen which was almost saved. Finally Ramirez. Hmmmmm you're allowed a 'luxury player' if he sometimes scores or assists. At the moment he seems like a real luxury.....
