Anyone have any spare tickets for Wembley?
wessex saint replied to red&white56's topic in The Saints
Don't have a problem with that. Just trying to point out why there is a large difference between average attendance and 44k for Wembley. I do think it's a shame that a lot of fans who have been to a number of games this season but didn't/couldn't go to MK Dons game miss out whilst season ticket holders can take mates who fancy a day out. And no, not sour grapes - I've got my ticket -

Quite simple Stu.Obvious reasons which have already been given plus about 10k season ticket holders buying 2 tickets each (which I believe you and your mates did). Hypothetically 10,000 tickets being given to people who haven't been to St Mary's much this season. You can't have it both ways. Ask why average attendance is only 20k with 44k going to Wembley when you personally have taken double tickets per person. -
Email fired off. Bleedin awful!!
-
So for those of us having to wait for 2nd booking window we will have to pay additional £3 per ticket regardless as no online sales!! Despite being registered online with a customer number etc. What a rip off

+1 Lallana totally committed and only one who can creat time to put his foot on the ball. Class act
-
Every time they gave it 'Play up Pompey' we joined in with 'Pay up Pompey'. Shut the fishy ****s right up but probably came across on the box as Pompey singing when in fact it was us

Thanks again Rebel - magic day despite result.

EDIT :As there seems to be a few spare tickets going around this morning, will make this a sticky. If you have or know of spare tickets please post them here. Although no touting of tickets please. Face Value only. Remember PM's only work with FULL members and not registered users, so please use an email address, if you want to risk putting your mobile up please do, but at yr own risk, but they will be removed later today Thanks Rob (EXIT2)

Ticketing policy for the JPT Final
wessex saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I may be wrong but seem to remember the club saying they weren't going to add anyone else's name to the database from about Xmas? Think they realised they ballsed up by not having a membership scheme and were worried about over subscription in the event of us getting to Wembley etc .. Sorry - know this doesn't help your situation. I'm sure you'll be ok - remember Pompey didn't even sell out til yesterday so as long as your quick off the mark you should be fine. -
Saints .v. sailor boys game; Very Disappointed
wessex saint replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
I live about an hr and a half away - hardly over the Atlantic but far enough away that a trip to SMS costs about £50 quid in transport alone. I had the opportunity to work in USA as a football coach but turned it down for many reasons - one of them being I couldn't go and watch the Saints. All I'm saying is that those who go to SMS and rainy away days on a Tuesday night are more deserving of a ticket -

I know he lives in USA. So what are you saying? Because he is prepared to get on a plane he should jump the queue of other Saints fans who have been to see the turgid entertainment at SMS for the last few years? As for your daughter that's down to your own ineptitude. My son is 11 and is a member of Junior Saints - therefore if we get to Wembley for example he will get a ticket as we're going on Tuesday night. Oh and Tim... I've got no argument with you - I've seen your posts and passion on this forum and the last and appreciate you are a fuly devoted Saints fan. It's just that those who go to SMS regularly are probably higher in the pecking order. Ask Nicola Cortese etc for tickets for the next league game at home and I'm sure they'll sort you out. My point is there's thousands of Saints fans who go to SMS much more often than Tim... why should he get a ticket instead of them? Just because he's prepared to fly over for the glamour games? Did he come to Ipswich in the last round? Or Northampton away? No - I did and so did all my family...... -

Not whingeing? Your last sentence used the word disappointing. mate - I've been to 7 games so far this season but can't make any of the 'linked' games as I'm working all of them. I'm not prepared to spend twice the ticket value just to secure a seat for Pompey so I'm hanging out for the off chance I'll get one next week. Lovely that your're excited about the game but there's thousands of Saints fans who are much more deserving of tickets than you are. If your love for Saints was that big you wouldn't be living thousands of miles away. Don't get carried away with NC's gestures - lovely as it is that there's a baby with a free life long season ticket it doesn't mean everyone with a story will get looked after. Bottom line: go to games at SMS on a regular basis - you deserve a chance to go to Pompey game or JPT final (if we get there). After that no-one's really bothered -
Well I remember being 3-0 up against Leeds at half time and then the amazing Leeds support literally sucking the ball into the net 4 times in the 2nd half! Definitely a great idea to move the away fans. As already suggested, move away fans to Kingsland/notham corner for a number of reasons: 1. Close to the bridge and road for away fans to be escorted to and from ground. 2. northam don't really need to move much. 3. Itchen North can move to Kingsland North /halfway. 4. Banter and noise from both sides of away fans - plus massive vocal support behind 1 goal. 5. On TV it will look like we have a half decent support. Ironic that on TV you see the away fans in the Northam, a half full Itchen and Chapel; yet we fill the Saints bit of Northam and the Kingsland - the only 2 stands you can't see on TV. Sends a message to kids/part time fans that there isn't an awful lot of passion at SMS which obviously isn't true.

Bang on. Why should you get an extra ticket just because you're a season ticket holder? Doesn't make any sense. Don't understand why it was so for JPT area final. Should be one per season ticket holder and then 'restricted sale' to anyone whose already been this season and is on database. That way every saints fan who has been prepared to go and watch Div 1 football gets a fair chance to get a ticket

Lloyd James was yellow carded for shouting at a player and wagging his finger at him. At no time did he lay hands on any MK Dons player. Kelvin pushed between them before that could happen. To book him was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen! Pray we get a better ref on Saturday

Plus anyone know what time the draw is? I assume it's between the 2 games on telly but can't find a definitive time even though I've trawled the tinterweb

Depends where you're parking. Encore next to the Mayflower is kid friendly - does lite bites ewc.. always a few Saints fans in there - (20 of us shortly) and a 10 mins walk to the ground
-
Thank you chaps - will put my walking boots on then! COYR!!
-
Sorry chaps - didn't get an answer earlier. can anyone confirm that the free shuttle buses that run from opposite the train station to SMS are running on Boxing Day?? Ta
