  1. It is well worth listening to the Toby Steel (Saints MD) interview on the Total Saints Podcast. He gives some interesting insights into this, most surprisingly even he didn't know how the revenue was to be divided as it hasn't been decided yet. He did say Saints are losing £3 million per month at the moment, so, if I knew teams were benefitting say £10 per PPV it would probably change my attitude.
  2. I listened to the excellent interview with Toby Steele on the TSP yesterday. One part that caught my attention was his annoyance regarding the fans reaction to Lander Sports being the the shirt sponsor. I only learned last week, via this forum, that Lander were Taiwanese, not Chinese, and nothing to do with Gao. There were probably good reasons to get into bed with them, although it didn't end well when their business model was shattered by the pandemic. I think Saints are making more effort to be open, but this unrest could have been put to rest very early had the situation been explained properly.
  3. Re Redmond, I'm not a hater by any means. I thought he was very poor in the first half , OK in the second. I looked at him yesterday and thought the premier league / Saints style has become too fast for him, reference his speed of thought, instant movement and decision making. I'd like him to come back to form, but I think he could do this by building into it from the bench.
  4. Not even Theo (or someone else) for Redmond?
  5. His head has gone if he thinks it wasn’t
  6. The whole thing stinks!
  7. Only on Saintsweb could wishing someone a happy birthday degenerate into a squabble! 🤣
  8. Is there any good news, anywhere, every development so far in 2020 seems to suck a bit more joy out of life.
  9. Does any of the money get back to the clubs to offset absence of gate receipts? If so, what percentage? I am really unclear on this whole thing
  10. Anything from this game is a bonus, Everton regularly beat us when they are poor, now they are quite good.
  11. Vey good as usual, but i feel i must allude to the fact that the verb allude was overly used to the point it was setting my teeth on edge. Your alluudingly, Touusaint.
  12. Is it a rip off? On the face of it I don't like it, and I don't like the way top level football is going, but will it not provide some revenue to slightly offset the lack of gate receipts? I don't think I will pay for it, I'd prefer to be at the game, but in the absence of being able to do that I'm ok with the old fashioned way of listening to Solent, just as exciting in its way.
  13. Southgate is untouchable, he's suitably non offensive, says all the right things, and he is hardly going to be poached by and aspirational club. The only threat to him will be if someone less "male and pale" appears. He is a dreadful manager.
  14. Saints win, this is where you heard it. ITK
  15. Do you have a list of people who don't post much but when the do it really wasn't worth waiting for? If so, am I on it?
  16. Something to build on, we can make a determined push for top spot when we are allowed back. I'm not sure about the hooligans champions league though, think we will be out of our depth in parts of Europe. But at least we will be able to attract better hooligans when they realise we are serious about this. We March On!

Internet search has drawn a blank, other than Transfermarkt stating he has been injured for 700 plus days?
  18. As it stands similar to last season, but I have no idea how good , bad or indifferent the new signings will be, so, shouldn't be worse than last season, could be better.
  19. Consequence of yesterday’s horror show?
  20. Wow, thanks for the heads up on Prince Phillip!
  21. see the main transfer thread, meltdowns and squabbles galore
  22. Sounds like Redmond
  23. I'd say he's finished, happy to be proved wrong, don't think I will be.
  24. If anyone cannot see the blatant social engineering pervading every aspect of our lives then they could more accurately be described as a mug, or worse.
  25. Absolutely, in my simple football brain I like to see a player who’s first thought is to move or carry the ball forward, that’s what Armstrong has bought to us. From the YouTube clip it seems RLC has the same philosophy. I’m not entirely sure what Redders brings, but his game should benefit massively once he knows he’s not an automatic selection.
