  1. Ban all political gesturing, comments, slogans on tee shirts under the football shirts & virtue signalling from sport, just STFU and do what you are paid to do. I am so sick of it. Football used to be an escape, a release from life's pressures, its now applying more pressure to our lives.
  2. I said on the match thread we have been worked out, starting with Wolves. I believe there are times when Ralph needs to change things quicker, we were fortunate the game wasn’t gone by half time, we were also fortunate to still have ten, I was convinced Djneppo was going to get sent off.
  3. day do doe dont dey doe, likche
  4. its a bit embarrassing that highly paid pundits don't take the time to learn the current rules.
  5. Would definitely have been a penalty for Man U though. I thought it was anyway, there was a secondary action when KWP was in the box.
  6. We’ve been worked out, started with wolves
  7. Ref is a pedant
  8. Taking a bit of pity on your post that fell on stoney ground. I’m going to take a bit of license. It was actually a Leeds game is wasn’t at or didn’t ever see that made me become a Saints fan. I lived bitterne park, I was listening to the match on radio Solent (a midweek fa cup tie I believe) when I stepped outside and to my amazement could see the glow of the floodlights and hear the roar of the crowd. For those that did nor experience the noise of the 30 thousand crowd in the Dell, it was spectacular. The rest is history.
  9. In a nutshell, it’s about personal responsibility and decisions of the individual. Currently there is a clamour to make everything the responsibility of the state and I find it all really disturbing.
  10. They are not mutually exclusive, think your on to something
  11. One thing the club have been suspiciously silent on is alien abduction. I classic case of them tricking everyone into watching the right hand. I get the negotiation for his release was probably sensitive, but they could have kept us in the loop a little better. Please, don’t shoot the messenger, it’s not easy carrying the burden of this insider information! I’ve probably said too much.
  12. Do you think loving the saint is enough? He would know more than anyone how fragile a footballers career is. He could always by a season ticket when he retires!
  13. I agree totally
  14. We all die, we have no say when it will be, it's the only certainty in life, this seems to have been lost in the current era.
  15. Let’s just all live out grey meaningless lives indoors and “stay safe”, see if we can make it to 100.
  16. I have no idea, I have always liked him. He looks like not playing is impeding his fitness and speed which was always his greatest asset. When he does come on it's normally when the game is at a stage when we have already ceased to be an attacking threat, its not like he's getting service and wasting chances, he spends what little time he gets he spends chasing lost causes. PS, yes, one year with an option to extend would have been better.
  17. ooh ooh, forgot Joey Barton, 'orrible little yobbo that he is!
  18. No it doesn't mean that at all, it means we should not be relying so heavily on academy "prospects" and a well past his prime player like Shane. Please also bear in mind that the only first team players we have injured at the moment the moment are Danny Ings and Redmond, who was losing his place anyway. I'm concerned by the thought of playing the better sides with acaddamy prospects filling in for JWP, Oriel, Bertrand or KWP, for whom way have no experienced cover at all should they be sidelined for any reason.
  19. Our problem, as I see it, it is we have a very thin squad coupled with a very intense playing style. Our success so far has relied on us having our best eleven fit, as well as in top match condition and playing to our limits. Hence the drop off, a key injury or two, probably players carrying injuries we don’t know about, a bit of fatigue, a bit off dip in form here and there and suddenly we are exposed. Stating the obvious we need to add some proven quality, we need a stronger bench, we need more co er and competition in every area of the pitch.
  20. I think it’s because the Ralph style has the team playing on its limits all of the time, hence the burnout.
  21. I’m not sure, we were 2 up, but they’ve had all the chances.
  22. Effing Fergie time still applies then?
  23. I love Shane, but he is properly over the hill.
