Why is that Wonga's fault? Is it not the bookies fault for taking the money from him? Should every company have to do a credit check on people before they take their money?

Doesnt bother me one way of anther, dont care who it is ,,, as long as its not too be. The smaller and the less intrusive the better.

Woooooop, great to get a couple of goals in open play and Adam and Jay scoring too!!!!!!!

Will be tough, I fully expect Swansea to be top 1/2 at the end of the year. I would take a draw from this one. I predict 1-1.

Or suggests Lovren was solid, had a great game and we kept another clean sheet. Just a thought. -

A push in the back, shirt holding in the box, a bad tackle knowing you are the last man.... they are all forms of cheating, just as bad as a dive and they go unpunished all the time. This is just one example but fonte fouled Strurridge last week, not as last man but still cheating. Should be of been sent off and banned? -

Yup. Our clean sheets this season speaks volumes. He has been quality so far. Also a word to the negative ninnies. There will be a lot'of up and down results this year, look at man u, city, arsenal, Chelsea. Outside the top 5 or 6 everyone will have their day.

Yup, while I like that pod-cast a lot, they focus 90% on Ars, Man U, Chelsea, Tottenham, City, Liverpool and the joke clubs at the time,,, i.e Newcastle and any club where Arry is at, so at the mo QPR. Always nice to get a mention though,

Although I generally agree, what does a 12 mil player look like now a days. Generally speaking you need to spend 10mil or over to get a decent signing, even from outside the prem. If they are prem based add on a couple of mil to their price and if they are young add on a couple of mil too. Take Jay Rod, prob worth 4-5 but he was young when we signed him so add on 2mil and british usually means another mil at least. Matt Jarvis was about 12ish I think, Everton just paid 15 mil for McCarthy.

Always been a fan of Croatia since Euro 96 and Boban and Asanovic and the likes, so I was delighted with Lovren signed and even happier now! As a defender myself, I (last season esp) used to get so frustrated at positioning in our defence. Im not a pro of course, but most of us can see players in the wrong positions week in and week out over the last few seasons, and at last this season we are sorting it out. Now for a few more goals from open play up the field, but Im sure that will come in time. One sour note from today. I had Lovren on my bench in my metro fantasy football! DAMN!

Former Saint Danny Higginbotham set to make international debut

Rickie at 31 called up, Higgs at 34 called up, who's next? Benalli? Marsden? -
While I generally agree with this post, a lot of the tottenham ones have not even played 100 mins of football yet and turn out to be flops. Dont judge till they prove their worth (although you are prob right).

JWP this season and last really reminds me of Scholes since his 30's. Scholes early used to be more attacking and with a few long range goals, running into the box etc. But JWP is like Scholes of the last 7 years... controls the play, keeps the ball on the ground, does not force passes but not afraid to thread a ball through when its on. Great little player. If we can hold on to our talent the future is bright, the future is red (and white if NC allows it ).

3-0 at 50s? Who is that with?
-
I put a fiver against Saints every game (draw no bet I do). Insurance. We win Im happy, dont care about the fiver, we loose Im covered. I usally put a quid on a win and scorer too. This week I went with 3-0 Jay Rob to score first. 45s. Also do two lots of 3 x draws. Usually get 35s. Surprising how often I win at this one.

From what I read about him, he needs to be loved to play his best which is exactly what I recon the saints will give him. i hear Pink Floyd are his fav so maybe an Osvaldo song to a Pink Floyd tune would be good, dont know any myself though gotta say (Im a country boy).

The first weekend of the PL (and I cant find the link so forgive me) had the least number of English men play in history. Saints had 7 start (well over half the team including 3 18 year olds). Do you think it is important to field english men? Or does it not matter what nationality of person we bring through the ranks, scottish or french or otherwise? Personally I love either a local kid or english kid breaking through to the first time just as much as the big signings coming in this summer. Im always Saints first, but do like to watch Saints players represent their country too. And (not joking) in a couple of years with the current crop we have may have 5 or 6 players in the england team.

Wierd MP can speak English perfectly?

Okay and wow. A couple of things. 1) Was it 12.6 I saw raising to 14 or 15? What a price. Very happy with that. 2) Will be great to have a character who ( Im guessing) saints fans will grow to love and opposition fans will hate ( hopefully). 3). Quite a forward line we have now. 4). I LOVE being a Saints fan.
