Funny as although Lovren was great for us the one performance I will remember was away at tottenham last season when he went to pieces and lost his head in the second half. Replace him, get in one more centre half. Job done, move on .

Everyone is always shocked at todays prices but those prices are the going rate now a days from Prem to Prem and Champ to Prem prices. The only way to get bargins is from Europe and beyond. And also fans are so obsessed with the values of players when its totally irrelivant.... saints for spend £100 mil on players who I dont rate or 10mil on players I do.

Legend! Thanks to Marcus we are in a position to moan about selling players for £30mil and £25mil to Man U and Liverpool. We are in a position to moan that when our players get called up to represent their country we are worried they may leave us. Marcus saved the club and for that should be spoken of in the same breath of Matt Le Tiss, Paine, Channon etc etc.

Agreed. Lovren joined us a season after just staying up in the premier league, he took him from a club not playing him and he joined a team of players (who although quality to all of us) were not world class at all. I year or so ago Lovren would not of even hear of Shaw, Lallana or Morgan,,,,, now he wants a move he uses their sales as 'best' players leaving the club. Even with NC here this period would of been tough. Get the most you can get for these wannabees and move no. I think Lovren and Lallana will struggle to make impacts at new clubs (I think Saints are about their level) where as Schinderlin and Shaw will go on to do very well.

Last season us and newcastle were clear from the rest of the pack who were struggling,,, the top clubs will always be up there, then its just between the rest. I think we will be down in the rest next year with maybe Hull or Stoke being the comfortable two of the crap clubs this year. We should survive fine I think, remember there is a lot of crap in the league at the moment, Villa, WBA, Newcastle etc.

Im 33 and Luke and JWP and Callum etc too me seem to be the first lot of youth players I feel that Im much older (obviously Im older than Bale etc, but these lads seem like kids) and that I feel proud like a father when watching them sometimes. Both times I met Luke he was asking for his mum after the matches and I know he is a good family boy. BUT what lad can resist flirting with girls and trying to get a potential 3some, we have all done it but he is famous. Im so pleased im crap at football as the dirt that would come out on me would be front page every other sunday. (And for the record I never got the 3some).

Emenike looks good vs BnH but maybe its the drreadful defence. Looks strong and fast though, makes smart runs.

Sigurdsson would be quality. He is just what we need too, tends to be able to pick out a goal from no-where and has a cracking shot and good at arriving late to the box, something i have felt we lack is goals from deeper.

Agreed. He just wrote it to get a rise out of people. Pretends to be a Saitns fan, but the way that was written I doubt it now.
