I have seen people die in pain and without dignity. Absolutely 100% for. Of course it will have to be carefully monitored to stop abuse of the system. To protect both the patient, the family and the healthcare professionals. Does it happen now. Well of course it does do a degree, the concept of 'dual purpose' when starting someone on a morphine dose has been used for decades ( a dose high enough to ease pain may also be high enough to expedite death ). 'Just keep him comfortable doc' is a phrase heavy with meaning. Unfortunately that only really then applies to pain and usually cancer deaths. There are many other wasting diseases of the body and mind that do not cause physical pain as such but the suffering can be extreme, and more importantly the loss of dignity in the face of the inevitable. So yes I am very strongly in favour, but it is a concept bulging with legal and morale problems. And re downs syndrome mentioned above - make no mistake it is a very serious genetic disorder. Heart problems, severe mental issues, endocrine dysfunction and cancer are not the side you see when you see a smiling happy downs child. the ones most seriously affected are very very ill

Fratton park is the home of the best atmosphere in world football

Thing that ****ed me off most all march was the fat bastard who sat next to me. His voluminous mud flaps occupied his own seat and 50% of mine. Ate the whole cocking time as well. 30+ quid for half a seat is grim

The players represent a massive investment of money on the part of the club. A load of Ming vases playing football. If beckoned onto the pitch they are most assuredly in the right. Mouhinio is an utter ****

Thanks. He's 12

It was quite emotional and Katarina was in her seat really early to watch it all

I've always had a belief that one of the real tests of 'fandom' isn't attendance at games, tattoos or season ticket etc. it comes down to something much simpler ( to me) . It comes down to having that awful sinking feeling that comes with a loss. ( or vice versa the euphoria of a win) whether that comes from watching it from your season ticket seat, in the rain at gillingham away mid week or even just seeing the results on teletext. If you feel something then you are a saint in my book. Yesterday was my boys 3rd game. So far he's seen a win and a draw. we can't get to many games as we live a long way away and I work most Saturday's. So I've never really known how much of a fan he really was, and how much he was humouring his old dad for food and 'stuff' Yesterday he was pumped for the game , we met the players pre match, got a shirt made up for him and the sun was out. Perfect father son day so far. He loved walking down the road in a sea of red and white. He started off in fine voice, but, like the rest of us got quieter and quieter as the game went on. I took it as growing boredom on his part I was actually surprised when the third goal went in to see him on the verge of tears. He was still very down this morning, but the first thing he said was ' can we go again soon please' Maybe it takes a loss to cement the love, it's easy to support a team when you win.

Lukaku hugs Saints fan hit in the face by football
sussexsaint replied to Maggie May's topic in The Saints
It was very touching as he did it without hesitation so it was genuine , didn't think twice about leaping up the stands. All the saints fans around stood and applauded as well which was nice. Just wish they had shown the same respect during our Markus tribute -
That was crap , my son was gutted.

All done I'm afraid ,out of my replies were 'not a factor' I go if and when I can, always have. Only question I really struggled with was- are you more likely to watch a hom or away game on TV ? For us it's a case of watching what you are given. Maybe a ' doesn't matter' option could be added Good luck bud, interested in the results when you get them
