  3. Do we know 100% that he isn't having talks about one?
  4. Thought Bertrand looked good especially first half. Pelle won one header out of 7 and no one wanted to pull the trigger. Should have scored. As said Forster was immense as was Tadic
  5. Just so people know if they find this thread in future. I'd get to the stadium at 11am for a 3 pm kick off as we arrived at 11.30 and most had gone in. Still got a fair few and by and large they were great with him. He is made up and buzzing for the match
  6. Cheers Minty. I'll be in touch.
  7. Well thanks for the replies and I won't take it. It's a great hobby and one I enjoy very much. If you wouldn't be interested in doing it then fine, good for you. Personally I'd love to get some great action shots like you see put up on here from the official photographers. It would be a challenge for all sorts of reasons and one I'd definitely like to try sometime. There is , in my opinion a world of difference between a few carefully taken shots and standing with an iPhone filming a concert. I'd happily pay to shadow a club photographer.
  8. Arse, thanks for the replies chaps. Shame as I'd love to do more sports stuff. Got hooked at the Olympics.
  9. Contemplating taking my 100-400 lens to the match Saturday. Am sat in front row so shouldn't annoy anyone in front of me and am keen to try and get some good action shots. Has anyone ever had any problems taking cameras / lenses in ? I emailed the club about photography asking these questions and basically I was just told they had added my request for work experience to the database, which was kind of missing the point a bit. Some clubs do photography days and this is really what I was asking about but it clearly frazzled the brain of whoever read it at the club. Appreciate this will probably descend pretty quick but would really appreciate any advice/experience
  10. Mine came about 2 days after I bought them and I bought mine same day as you
  11. Mac all the way, still have an 8 year old MacBook that is still running as well as the day I bought it
  12. This one, anything really. Where you are selling it, here or eBay. Engine size/ condition etc
  13. Any more info
  14. Beautiful, good luck
  15. Live albums are ok though I think
  16. Nail on head , plus they have absolutely not one shred of respect for the league they are in or their opposition. Detestable behaviour
  17. There are concerns so take advice from your optician who will know your eyes well. Most opticians and ophthalmologists I know personally have not had it done on them selves despite major advances in the technologies. There is still no clear indication of long term problems for obvious reasons and possible exacerbation of underlying/ unknown corneal problems. It's still fundamentally a pretty crude operation, you cut the cornea so it bulges and forms a second lens. Best done around your 30s / 40s as that is when your eyes are most stable but obviously won't stop their general decline so you probably will need glasses at some point again. The reason I didn't go for it is that I'm a very high myope and they could only give me a reasonable guarantee of 'driving level sight' and to be honest you would be amazed how bad that is if you are used to your optician correcting your vision to the bottom line on a snellen chart. The best available operation at the moment is the one where they replace your natural lens with a prescription one. Essentially a cataract op when you don't need one. More expensive to have done but generally regarded as safer and more long lasting. I know many people who are very happy with their laser surgery but after a LOT of research it wasn't for me and I'm wearing contacts until I can justify having replacement lenses done. I'm a doc and have a lot of mates who work in eye depts
  18. Quite excited about Isgrove , I know he is raw but has pace to burn and didn't look out of place when he came on.

  22. Actually the bottom if the Canadian plane was black looking at my photos I'll stick some up later if anyone is interested.
  23. Saw it this afternoon, magnificent sight and beautiful sound. Moving and a bit sad as well. Would have been incredible to see a sky full of them. They have painted the Canadian plane in RAF livery for the tour pretty sure the old publicity shots had her in black. The spits always have a profound effect on me as well. Tornado was awesome
  24. Hopefully he'll be a sort of opposite Kevin Davis. Good Luck Shane.
  25. Not worthy to be in the same thread as Pahars. 'I have a yoghurt in my fridge that is about to go off that I care about more '
