I genuinely do not undertsnad what sort of sick twisted pleasure people get from posting stuff like that if it is a wind up. There are no 'plastic' fans on here pushing f5 all day, just people who care and fear for our clubs future. We are all desparate for a glimmer of good news; if it was posted with information genuiney recieved then fair enough if it was posted to wind people up then FOAD, I, and I am sure many on here are tired, bored and miserable at the prospect of the next few hours and days; we could be witnessing the end of something that for me at least has been an important part of my life and the life of many generations of my family.

It would be nice to have ANY sort of offical update - not even anything of any great substance but after the let down of yesterday , just a 1 liner from Fry confirming that he had indeed been working late into the night to finalise details with 1 or 2 serious consortia - otherwise all we have to go on is the Daily 'Paul Allen is buying our club' Echo

If the Swiss have the cash are happy with the agreement and have had these meetings have any of your sources within the club any insight as to how quickly this could all be resolved then? *clutches madly at straws*

Thanks Nick that is a great summary - doesn't fit exactly with the Echo story today which suggests the 'other' lot are closer but at least it is a ray of hope - can you give any indication of how you know all this?
