  1. Why don't Brighton understand that it's more difficult playing against 10 men with a 1-0 lead?
  2. Nice to see Lallana pulling the strings out there towards the end. Will be valuable this season I suspect even if from the sidelines.
  3. Archer looks sharp.
  4. Bree will get a rocket from RM for that. Why didn't he look for a pass back?
  5. Not exactly peppering their goal in search of a winner are we?
  6. Another mess of a corner.
  7. Pretty soon we'll be able to concentrate on the league. This walking football that goes nowhere is mind-numbing.
  8. Diabolical from Wood. Just stop all the fannying around and look for the forward pass FFS.
  9. Maybe a quick reminder to RM and the lads that this is a cup game and not a friendly.
  10. Well I think we can say this defence isn't challenging the 1st team.
  11. Edozie still showing his lack of class in the box.
  12. Get McCarthy on.
  13. And there goes the lead again. 3-3.
  14. A proper striker's finish from Archer.
  15. Terrible miss.
  16. Shambles at last.
  17. Can't really find too much to moan about in that half. Build up to their goal was a clear offside but good strike. Some of our passing around our own penalty area gives me the willies but no problems so far.
  18. Excellent goal from Saints.
  19. Thought there was an offside in the build up to that. Good strike.
  20. Someone should tell RM that there are no extra points awarded for artistic interpretation.

  22. RM would no doubt have been disappointed with the way Liverpool broke away from defence at pace, had a shot and scored without once looking to hold the ball up and find a back pass.
  23. Most of us can see that but yesterday, and to an extent against 10 man Newcastle, the ball was played slowly at walking pace sideways and backwards for long periods of time while the Forest defence had a cup of tea and a sandwich. Saints haven't been clinical in the final third for quite a while now. Question is just how long the optimism will last if there's more of the same.
  24. Just seen those stats on MotD. 😐 Horrifying. Nothing there even for artistic interpretation. Lucky to escape with just 0-1.
  25. I suspect opposition managers look at RM's philosophy and laugh. The idea that endless walking football with ponderous sideways/backwards passing in your own half is ever going to work in this league is certainly laughable. The only time that Forest looked at all worried was when RM threw on some desperate late subs who haven't yet fallen for the RM philosophy but instead actually tried to create some scoring opportunities rather than to make an easy safe pass. Until that time the Forest defence were totally untroubled by a couple of lonely attackers patrolling the touchline. Oh, and corners. Have Saints yet looked dangerous at any of them? Perhaps a tall no9 type character might trouble opposition defences but at the moment I'd suggest an alternative plan to swinging aimless balls into nobody in particular.
