What gets me is that should a miracle happen and Saints actually start winning some home games the likes of 19****een will be claiming a massive victory for their lord and master's strategy. Of course it's possible that relegation could be avoided and that is surely what is hoped for, but it does not alter the fact that yet again Lowe brings us 3 managers in a year and a relegation struggle. Nothing changes with the divisive incompetent hated one. I just ask you to see that the bloke is far short of being some sort of a messiah.

Results haven't been updated for a while by the look of it and I've got some points to claim.
-
Can't really see the point in worrying about other teams' results too much. If Saints continue losing/drawing then it's curtains. A few wins will give us a chance. Simple as that really.

Rudi != leftBack;
-
What's all this left back talk though? That has only recently become a bit of a makeshift position 'cos we had nobody else so I reckon it's worth trying him further forward, where IMHO he might offer us more.
-
I've decide to (mostly) not bother too much about what other teams are doing until our lot start improving. If Saints can't claim 3 points in anything other than the odd game here and there it doesn't really matter too much how those above us are getting on. Basically I think that means I've just lost all hope.

Lowe to retire to the library with a pearl handled revolver and a bottle of whisky where he would be expected to do the decent thing.
-
We're fast running out of games, the gates are dwindling while the divisive one with his mad experiment are still in place. If anyone is expecting our fortunes to change in time for us to keep our place in the CCC with this continuing then I reckon they must be living in the clouds. The trouble is I find that I really don't seem to care anymore after 45 years watching Saints.

Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!

Given that Lowe's PR merchants are on here predicting violence and advising us not to take our families along has anyone considered whether there might be a plan to infiltrate the march with some pro-Lowe nutters that would be only too happy to help cause a bit of trouble? Even by simply raising the threat of violence perhaps they hope that numbers might be reduced so that Lowe can dismiss the protest more easily. For what it's worth I'm unable to make it down to Southampton today but I'll be with those on the march in sentiment. It's good to see that there are some that will do what they can to save SFC from these clowns. -
I could've but have been snowed under with work instead. Then I went to the pub for a couple of pints although I could have started reading this earlier of course. Cheers!

I've just read through this thread of ifs, buts and maybes. Trouble is it really has driven me mad with all the "could of", "would of", "should of" and similar phrases. I don't know whether it's something to do with modern day education but it really distracts from the point being made as far as I'm concerned. Would it be at all possible to revert to the English of "could have", "would have", "should have", etc? Or even abbreviated to "could've" and so on if you really fancy it. I might just be able to concentrate on the various Lowe, Wilde and Crouch prejudices then. Cheers!

Presumably Talksport rang him to ask about the situation at SFC. Now let's think what the "right" answer might be. a) Let's have even more division until we get rid of the devil incarnate b) Pull together, good of the club, etc, etc If he ever wanted to step inside St Mary's under the current regime I reckon answer b) would be the logical and politic answer regardless of what he really thinks. Either that or he's been got at.

I sense the hand of Lowe behind this "Southampton United" spin and, to be quite honest, that makes me rather more cynical. There is one person at SFC that has been the catalyst for the division that afflicts the supporters but he seems to be in hiding at the moment although his luvvies are doing their bit. I respect TT's views even if he makes my blood boil on so many Saturday tea times. I've no problem with getting behind the team during the game but that's been the way of things virtually all season. However, if this is an attempt to gloss over the mistakes of the divisive clowns in the boardroom then my reaction would be along the lines of "sod off".

To do that we need to score. And more than one at that. Highly unlikely IMO. In fact I'd be more worried about Donny getting a 2nd. Forest now 2 up by the way. New manager anyone?
-
As I said. Same as usual.
-
Well it looks like deja vu all over again doesn't it. Just no idea how to score at home. What's the betting that Donny nick this in the 2nd half then?
-
Looking to the past and basking in a warm glow of happy memories is surely something well do. I know I like nothing better than to chew over good old days when down the pub so why not the same on a message board. It certainly takes the mind of the seemingly pointless rage at our powerlessness to affect current events, be they to do with Saints, bankers or those scoundrels that like to call themselves politicians. And there's another thing. It's all very well looking to the future but to do so while ignoring events of the past is to go blindly forward.
-
It's a bit early in the game to be taking the lead isn't it? How long to hold out?
-
If it wasn't for Kelvin we'd be buggered already.

Almost a strange religious fervour on this thread which I find a little unsettling because it chimes with my usual growing optimism before the game starts. Smiling eyes raised to the sky regardless of prevailing circumstances turns me off a little so I hope you don't mind if stay outside of this sect, especially since I'll probably be having to drown the usual sorrows tonight. I'll go my own way with a borrowed bus ad along the lines of: There probably is a Rupert Lowe so keep worrying while trying to enjoy life with Saints.
-
Disagree. Unless you think that 1 point from those games counts as success.
-
Plan A was still surprising the opposition. Plan A has now been well and truly sussed out by the opposition. There is no Plan B.
-
We shouldn't be looking for anything other than 3 wins from these games but I suspect Jan's plan will be to not lose by too many in each case and maybe, with a bit of luck, scrape a victory somewhere. Trouble is we're not scoring enough so the prospect of getting 3 points in any of these important games is remote. Maybe if I put my optimistic hat on I can see a result at Barnsley and consequent renewed hope of turning the corner from the Lowe brigade before yet another home defeat and an away embarrassment bring back the dawning reality of being marooned at the bottom. I fear for the souls of our youngsters this season. They'll need long term counselling if they're not to be badly broken as things go from bad to worse.

Desperation perhaps? Should raise the average age a bit.
