Another bad miss by JRod.
-
Have to take our chances as well. JRod should have made it 2-0. Admittedly the stream I'm watching isn't very clear but it would be nice to not see the ball just given away after string a few passes together.
-
Defence seems to have reverted to type. Everton just able to swan through Saints whenever they fancy it.
-
Indeed. Although it is Adkins job to make sure the coaching is adequate of course. Currently something is plainly lacking.
-
It would be madness to ditch Adkins this early. Ok, the expected business in buying a 'keeper and defenders wasn't forthcoming but we are where we are and any replacement would be in the same boat. Adkins and the defence know they have to shape up and prove that they aren't mugs over the next few winnable games otherwise the consequences are obvious. Adkins needs to know that he has until the end of October at least to bring about improvements. Shore up that defence and we'll be fine.
-
Saints could easily have got points from each of the first 3 games this season so it's really a bit early to sound panic stations. Adkins is well aware that his job is to get results and he will have identified defensive frailties. If he fails to do something about that then he knows he'll be heading for the door in short order given the amount spent so far. I'd give him October to see where we are. If we're still looking up from the bottom at that time then action could be justified. In the meantime I'm feeling positive. A point tomorrow and an easy win next week would makes us feel more comfy.
-
He'll be doing a fair bit of that this season.
-
Dreadful. Surely there must be an Englishman somewhere that knows how to stick it in the net.
-
Lampard MoM! Eh? Didn't even see him for 30 minutes. Well at least he managed to stick it between the posts and under the bar.
-
Another open goal missed!
-
England look more likely to concede a 2nd than get an equalizer.
-
There does seem to be room for improvement but at least I got a reply from the ticket office with regard to the problems. One improvement with the online system that I'm happy about is the ability to select my seats.
-
I see no reason why the all too obvious frailties addressed above cannot be worked on. The fact that we let a 2-1 lead turn into a 2-3 defeat again really angered me but it's now a case of standing firm before identifying and addressing the problems. If things are still looking bleak at the end of October then drastic action might well be required but I'm not one for panic stations just yet.
-
He cost us. The corner conceded for the winner came from him panicking as well. He'll be ok on the bench.
-
Thanks for the info. Just another indication of how awful the website is. It would be nice to have an indication of when tickets are on sale.
-
A first home Premiership goal by Saints would be nice.
-
It doesn't seem to be working and hasn't been all weekend. I've emailed the ticket office but haven't had a reply yet.
-
Just tried again to buy some tickets but it's totally screwed. The website is appalling.

You have to remember that a lot of people will have been on their summer holidays as well. Thought it was a reasonable turn out myself. If you want to see empty seats have a look at Wigan when they're at home.

Jeez! I've been out for a 10 mile walk in the countryside and was full of expectation that I'd be returning home to news of this signing being completed. I was over-optimistic. Will it ever happen?

Not read much about the world of facebook (thank goodness). Perhaps it's time to discuss whether footballers can enhance their profile by appearing on porn sites.
-
Who is this?
-
Cheers! Now back from pub (wife declined one for the road). This saga makes me wonder whether the outcome will be worth all the hype.
-
I'm just in the pub where I have a life beyond this board. Any concrete news to report?

Perhaps the biscuits are going down well.
