Chelsea have missed a sackful. There's another bad miss. Could easily be 6 already.
-
Saints well ahead on possession though so there is that.
-
It was exasperation from me but I agree it was dumb of Stephens. Just trying to remember the last time we saw a VAR referral for pulling hair.
-
Calm down, dear.
-
Without VAR nobody sees it. Still stupid by captain Shoehorn.
-
Ref's lost it. Chelsea kicking our players gets no punishment at all.
-
Stephens can sod right off with Martin as far as I'm concerned.
-
FFS! VAR strikes again.
-
VAR for a possible red card? Stephens pulled a hair.
-
Invited to take a shot so he does and scores. 1-3.
-
For a few minutes Saints gave Chelsea some problems when moving the ball forward quickly. Then came the instruction from Russ to stop that sort of thing and get back to tippy-tappy at the back. This is high risk, low reward stuff.
-
This is on target for 9-1 so an improvement I guess.
-
Saints very poor at corners both in attack and in defence.
-
That is Russball madness in a nutshell. Chelsea defence looking ropey so why the hell are we playing tippy-tappy at the back?
-
Another tippy-tappy screw up. 1-2.
-
Chelsea defence there for the taking. 1-1.
-
Abject defending.
-
I'm looking forward to some excellent referrals to VAR. 😜

Saints vs Swansea - Sunday 12th January 1630
obelisk replied to Football Special's topic in The Saints
Swansea in reasonable form and Saints will no doubt field a Championship level team. Could go either way and should offer us an indication as to Saints likely level in the Championship next season. -
I mentioned that VAR would want a look at the time.
-
Not sticking up for it. ArmA gave the ref a chance to rule the goal out. Many times an "offside" player gets ignored but not this time. It's the inconsistency with VAR decisions that bugs me.
-
A bit dumb of ArmA to let himself get so obviously offside in the first place. Had he held back half a second he'd have been in prime position to score (or miss) himself. As it is he gives the ref a decision to make.
-
Maybe time to think positively that this game offers a chance for those on the fringes of the first team to step up and show us what they can do. Or not. 😁
-
How much longer is the ref going to give Brighton?
-
Really could do with the 3 points but after the first half 1 will do I guess.
