We need to stop the tactic of hoofing it towards Onachu to hold up - it's not working. All game I wanted him replaced - then he goes and gets the winner. Aribo again lacks creativity but good defensively and took his goal well. Aribo CAN hold the ball up when needed to - perhaps go with him if we are to play that game. We looked a more dangerous team with Sulemana in it IMO. We need to try and get Fernandes into games a bit more, very creative and attack-minded.

Onachu losing every opportunity to hold the ball up. Out jumped and outmuscled.

More than competitive here. Three points would be massive.

He suggested two average £20m signings has produced a worse product than the potential of a single £40m signing. I say it's not necessarily about the cost. The not too distant past shows that we have had the ability to recruit good value players successfully, "fairly" consistently and end up with a team in the top half of this league. The deals we were doing with Celtic, VVD, Wanyama, Davis and in Europe, Pele, Tadic etc. They weren't hugely expensive at the time, within our budget and got us results. Let's bring better recruitment back, not just bigger spending.

Hasn't this worked well at times in the past though? We could all name plenty of good purchases within the last 15 years that have gone on to be world beaters. Look at our 2012 to 2016 squads. We seemed to get recruitment right back then on the whole.

That Gasparini, Atalanta style of play looks more like a Hassenhutl strategy than any other we've seen recently. Watch out for the ball in behind!

Looking forward to something different. I can half-understand why they persevered with Martin for longer than they should have, for "some" of the latter games it seemed like we were improving, just a bit. New boss, but NOT same as the old boss. Bring it on.

It's only Danny Rohl but I like it.

Keeper hoofing the ball gets the biggest cheer of the game.

I have Chinese TV adverts during the break. They're cool.

“If any club in England from the bottom of the table needs a coach in two years, I'm ready to go." That's literally us. We just need to stay on the bottom for the next two years without getting relegated.

You'd have thought we'd be good at playing it out from the back by now.

Replaced, no question. Right now, the weakness is the tactics more than the players.

I decided against naming my dog Help for the same reason.

I used to work with a girl called Carina. Nice girl. Sturdy and reliable.

However the BBC wants to frame that article, it's still guilty of spreading unfounded conspiracy theories.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Just looking at re-nationalising railways, which I always thought was a good idea. Using SNCF as a model, as I hear it's generally well thought of. The average cost per year to the French taxpayer is 15 billion euros. Divide that by 68 million people (obviously they are not all taxpayers) and that's 220 euros per person. That's a lot of money if you don't use the trains very often. Didn't realise it could be that expensive. -
Clothes and shoe sizes. A medium t'shirt might fit, be too big or too small. A size 8 shoe might be too big or too small. I have a closet where I have shoe sizes that fit from sizes 7 to 10. If manufacturers are incapable of accurately standardising clothes and shoe sizes, which they are, then your clothes and shoe shops should size items by centimetre. This way you wouldn't have to bother trying it on, know it would fit and would be more confident buying off the internet. And no, I'm not putting on weight. Well I am actually but that's not the point.

Thought he looked quality when he came on again, really tied things together up front. Was instrumental in our first PL goal after being on for just 10 minutes or so. Any chance he could do more for us than play as a late sub? If he could do 45, wouldn't we be better off starting him, then perhaps make changes at 65 if he needs it?
-
I'm not sure he suits being so wide. Commentator yesterday was saying that at previous clubs he'd had a more central role?
-
Brentford played out from the back a lot better than we did, played it wide and didn't tap it about so much in front of goal suicidally like we did. Our manager must learn from this. If we're going to continue to pursue this strategy we must improve it. Lallana was great in the last third. Could he play 45 minutes?
