The investment priorities will probably be on hotels , entertainment, restaurants etc …long before any cash is spent on the stadium !

For the older fans among us . All clubs have had a traditional vocal ‘ end ‘ Pompey have the Fratton as an example. A decent home Northam end will / should definitely improve the atmosphere and can only be positive . Giving away fans 60% if the Northam has only helped our opponents!

This thread bought back many memories from half a century and half a world away ! Especially Haymarket , Warrens pubs Battle in Watts Park - I was a Market Diner Skin .. Ipswich away .. I recall a pre season friendly at Brighton where we took thousands .. all singing along the beachfront. no one mentioned the skin girls of the era . They were formidable led by Pat Lovelock who I dated at one stage until she beat me up ! I remember her kicking in a big male skinhead Palace fan outside Selhurst Park !

Southampton fans from Salisbury and Basingstoke

What a stupid thread ! Im from Southampton went to Bitterne Park school , worked at Vospers. Dell regular , Milton end went to FA Cup final May 76 , been many times to St Marys. I now live in Perth Western Australia .Does that mean accoring to some dumb idots on here Im not respected anymore as a Saints supporter ! -
Forgot to mention. On FB there is quite an active Australian saints supporters group !
-
From Southampon. Raised in the Milton Road end - back in the day Warrens pub etc ! Now based in Perth Australia.Still get to go about 2 homes games most seasons. 🙂

I knew Tony and his deaf mate Dave who used to pull all the birds ! anyone remember the 'ladies' of the early 70s bovver days ! Pat Lovelock ? I went out with her and when I gave her the flick . She kicked me in the goolies and left me laying on the ground in agony outside Woollies in Above Bar !

I'm a Mush and proud of it .Living abroad at present doesn't change that. Great memories of following Saints .Away days at Ipswich , was always good one .I was at Wembley in May 76 . Still have the ticket stub and programme . Got the FA cup winners tattoo on my right upper arm at Zacks after- still have it ! Probably stupid looking back on that ! What I feel is the club will always be at the heart of the supporters. What's really changed for me is the players are now mercenaries with little allegiance to the club. I guess you cant blame them for that .Often living and playing in a foreign place they know nothing about. That's what the mega money has done to the sport at the Premiership level. So yes even I have lost a bit of passion overall. Still love the and have passion for the club but I realise now most of the people on the payroll do not share it .

Deal was agreed on two months ago for RK to go to Everton - good source - We just have to realise the football world see us as a mid tier WBA, Norwich, Coventry, Notts Forrest ,Palace Type of club. That's where we fit in and the world see us. Anyone with talent and ego - player or manager is always looking to reach the next tier Until we invest in upgrading our flat packed stadium I reckon that will always be the case
-
Posted about 4/5weeks ago - Done deal even then according to my scouse mate who has family connections with Everton !
-
A local football team mate here living in Perth Australia and a relation of Joe Royal told me two weeks ago Koreman to Everton was a 'done deal ' It will happen -I dismissed it at the time !

Dear All Liebherr do not only make cranes and fridges. I work in the Australian mining industry and they are a massive player in the mechanical shovels ( the huge machines that load the haulpacks ) about 5 Million each and they are starting to get a few haulpac fleets in as well about 3 million for each truck !
-
They were probably getting confused with that stupid Aussie Oi Oi Oi..!
-
Sorry , you don't know what your talking about. I've recently been in business meetings regarding supplying Liebherr cranes with tyres I can assure you not one but two of the Liebherr family are very actively involved !

Definitely far more dangerous place to visit during the 70s and 80s.Went to all of them John Milkins testimonial was a test of nerves. We were stuck under the stand Only a couple of hundred of us at at the most.Battered them about 8-0 ! One of our lot still managed to run on to the pitch a take a pompey flag away from one of theirs before the game !
