Depends which Yaya Toure turns up doesn't it. Wasn't great at St Mary's last season with Cork in midfield. Obviously I would prefer Wanyama to Cork against City but I would also like us to have the best possible chance of winning tomorrow. It's hardly the end of the world if Cork has to step in against City, especially if Morgan is back. What's more annoying is Gazzaniga playing.
-
Surely though we have a better chance of a win against Villa than Man City. I have confidence for Cork to step in if Wanyama picks up his yellow tomorrow.
-
The others being K Davis, Fox, Guly and Ramirez. So only two changes needed for the starting line up.
-
Apart from Gazza still a strong line up.
-
Gazzaniga it is then for at least tomorrow's game. I guess Cropper on bench. Davis in for Morgan. And hope Wanyama doesn't pick up a yellow tomorrow, otherwise Man City game will not be pretty without our first choice centre midfield.
-
I'm sure we will find out from MP press conference this morning. Also Gazzaniga tweeted that he had full support for Boruc yesterday so I guess that could mean what we have heard is true.
-
Morgan is out for a while? Urgh. This will be a very long December
-
Six weeks after yesterday's game, so just going on current media reports. That means he misses at least 7 league games plus the FA Cup game. Will possibly also miss the game on the 11th if he isn't back in full training that week.
-
To me it looks like the media reports on Boruc have been lifted from here! However Thevman is very reliable, although I really hope wrong on this occasion!
-
Defence didn't seem confident once Boruc went off. I'm hoping that is more to do with just conceding and then losing Boruc, not that Gazza then came on. I just hope he has improved vastly since last season. This is a tough month and we really need everyone to be on top of their game.
-
Surely we can't get an emergency loan. Even with Davis injured we have Gazzaniga and Cropper. Anyway wasn't Davis was in training this week so surely recovered now.
-
This. The defence have little confidence without Boruc. Really not liking the fact we have Man City, Spurs and Everton before Boruc will even be back in training again.
-
Well apparently Boruc has a broken hand (Thevman on other thread). So stuck with Gazzaniga for about 6 weeks. Horror show
-
Really need to bounce back, especially with Man City looming. Need to win these type of games to finish in the top half
-
Well first it was a dislocated finger, then Solent said later on about it being broken. Now he's gone for a scan on hand and wrist. Maybe dislocated finger and wrist bent too far back?
-
Oh didn't hear DM say that. When I was listening, around 80th minute, they said it was a broken finger!
-
I'm more worried about Gazza playing a long run of games. If last season is anything to go by we are in for poor goals being conceded. Hope I'm wrong but this coupled with our inability up front we could be in for a long winter. Good job we already have a lot of points on the board.
-
I would prefer Davis to Gazza too, although neither are very good. I do hope we will be active in the transfer window, we need to be.
-
Yeah expected to lose but more worried about injuries to Boruc and Morgan. If Boruc is out for a while really think it could de-rail our season. We need better back up than Davis and Gazza. Not Prem quality at all. Think we will start to see how badly we are lacking in decent back up.
-
Also hope Morgan won't be out for long.
-
We must beat Villa as I can't see us getting anything against Man City, especially with Gazzaniga in goal. Solent saying Boruc has broken his finger?? How long will that put him out for?
-
The pass wasn't too short. Boruc had plenty of time to deal with it. Even when he was messing about with it he had at least two opportunities to clear it. A stupid stupid error. But it's likely he will be brilliant next week and we will get a result. Just the way it goes. Until he has better competition he will not be dropped.

Rooney shouldn't even be on the pitch. I've never understood all this "too early in the game to make a big decision with a red card" Right so if a player punches another in the first minute he won't be sent off? Of course he would. A red card offence is a red card offence, no matter what minute of the game it is. -

Man City at home before that may be a bit more of a worry though!
