Ben Smith from BBC just tweeted Lallana has asked to leave, but no formal transfer request yet

I'm feeling totally deflated about Saints at the moment and think we could be in for an extremely difficult season. While I think I've just wasted £630, I know once the season starts I will look forward to going each time, just like I have for the last 18 years no matter how the season was going.

Agreed. I couldn't give a flying fig if we have striped shirts, certain ex-players were liked by Cortese or books are stocked in the club shop. This summer is going to be horrendous by the looks of it.

Well if this is true it makes a total mockery of Ralph's statement yesterday. We don't need to sell.... but we will for big money. Everything is on our terms....yeah ok. At this rate I'm ready not going to care how England get on, as none on our trio will actually be playing for us. Rickie was the one that I thought would definately be playing for us next season.

Oh good more waffle and no action. I really hope we haven't just started to look for new management replacements. You would like to hope we started that as soon as MP hesitated on signing the new contract. I guess we will find out later.

I really think we will get a statement just like that. The moment MP hesitated signing a new contract (if there was one) we should have been looking for potential replacements. Let's hope we have, but I fear not.

Well if he goes then our ambition clearly does not match his anymore. Not impressed at all by the new board. Unless we get a decent replacement in we will seriously struggle next season, if the reported player exodus is to be believed. Shame, we could have really pushed on next season. (This is all of course if he goes!)

As long as I can afford it each year I will renew, no matter what is going on off the pitch. But I am waiting until I get paid next week to renew.

Someone on twitter (yes I know) saying Sky Italy have reported MP discussing personal terms with Spurs. Have Sky Italy reported this and are they reliable? Or no better than any other media outlet?

Money. If he wants to leave he needs to go this week so we can plan for next season without him and find our new manager. Although at the moment I have no confidence in the new board at all. Hopefully I'm proved wrong.

I unfortunately heard something similar that he was at Spurs on Monday but back talking with Saints yesterday. Was third hand information so who knows how true it is. And would contradict with someone on here saying MP was having meetings at Saints on Monday.

The way I heard it was that we would be on the phone tomorrow to clubs we want to buy players from, not phone calls with clubs who want our players. Time will tell I guess.

Him patting the badge made me think he was off! He loves the club, but as he said in the programme,he wants champions league football and to challenge for the title one day. We will never be able to give him that.

Pretty much what Lallana's speech sounded like at the awards. If he's going to leave I guess it would be after World Cup. As for Shaw I think it's been a case of when he will leave, not if. Although I think we could keep him for one more season. Re MP, I still think this will have a massive impact if he stays.

So now Lallana has pleaded with Saints to let him join Liverpool, according to The Sun.

Although I want him to stay, if he signs a new deal how long will it be before there are rumours about him leaving again? Same with Lallana, Shaw etc. The media frenzy surrounding our manager/best players leaving will always be there every transfer window, although I guess that will always be the case with clubs like us.

£20 million is an insult, especially with 25% going to Bournemouth. However I'm a bit concerned that if Lallana said he wanted to leave the board would just accept this offer, without demanding more. Time will tell I guess.
