  1. I have also been assured by several American work colleagues that if Obama wins then he will not be around for long before being assasinated, though they are primarily from the south, which might explain their thinking. In fact a few of them have him marked down as a Muslim sympathising communist who say they will leave the country if he is elected. The more enlightened work mates, see the election being very close to call, also their election is a very complicated process, and though either candidate may win the popular vote majority that does not necessarily mean they will be elected president. I think this election though has for once brought foreign policy of the States to the forefront of political debate as well as domestic issues which is a good thing, though again Obama was heavily criticised in America for his meetings in Europe with various heads of state, though personally I think it was a good move to build relationships ahead of time if he is elected.
  2. Basically, people who use the word basically in nearly every sentence. Snoring SAP People who are 'scared' of spiders People who walk in the path you are taking
  3. Willie Carson as in ex jockey???...and a harem?, beggars belief!!
  4. Have not given up on automatic promotion after only 2 games against teams expected to be near the top at the end of the season, however not having seen the team in action yet this season may be a reason for my optimism, plus reading on here encouraging reports of our style of play in those 2 games After 6-8 games I may have further optimism or a sense of impending doom.
  5. Was watching the horse dressage last night and was wondering how they train the horses to do that fancy 'horse dancing' stuff, I think they must use hot coals. Snooker should be an Olympic sport and possibly golf as well, do Great Britain as host country not get to introduce a new sport in 2012? If so we could introduce binge drinking.(Courtesy of Daily Mail letter writers....)
  6. Maybe you misread it, the theme is legends, not bellends.
  7. Maybe too serious a question for here, but do you have to sort of lay alternate levels of food and paper/garden waste?
  8. Congratulations, all winners or did you lay any? After last week at Goodwood I decided to lay every horse I even think of backing, as I can't remember my last winner, especially on the flat, roll on the NH season. Of course if I do start laying them, then they will turn into winning selections so to speak:(
  9. Is having a compost bin a good environmentally friendly idea, or a minging breeding ground for maggots and flies? This is part of my 'Good Life' project which will also halt interminably boring trips to supermarkets where you undoubtedly end up buying stuff you did not even know you needed. Such as plug in 'air fresheners', when your house already resembles Kew Gardens.
