Mixed emotions about yesterday. Didn't like losing to the blue few but glad that we are out of the cup. We are back in a relegation fight now, especially after yesterdays league results. Yes we have two games in hand over most of our nearest rivals but our next game up against Norwich is gonna be tough.

Really good article, for a change, from the Mail. Love the quote from Lawrie, remember wetting myself laughing when he originally said it!

Just said that it was the date set by the court. Must have been one of the Jesters that arranged it!

Oh the irony of it all. Hypothetical situation, said HK buisnessman decides to develop kraP nottarF for housing/retail and its Liebherr cranes and plant that do the demolition. Absolute icing on the cake.

The Premier League will not want the 'brand name' tarnished by a member club going into admin or worse. I'm not saying that they are funding Pimpey by any means but I would suspect that they are 'assisting' by not being too fussy about where the funding is coming from currently to keep them afloat. I wouldn't be surprised to see that, if they are still in a finacial mess at the seasons end and aren't in a relegation place, they are given a points deduction that ensures they won't be an embarassment next season. (IMHO)

Gotta love this quote from the article linked below: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/110411/Proud-Paul-Hart-s-been-treated-appallingly-/ "If Portsmouth go down this season, I can’t see them coming back up. If they are relegated then it wouldn’t surprise me if the Arab owners just upped and left. When you’ve got that type of money you want to drive a Rolls Royce or a Bentley – not a Ford Escort."

I don't think that has ever been the case, game plan for this season was to avoid relegation and consolidate our position, the play-offs were aspirational.

A major hurricane (Hurricane Shazza) and earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter Scale hit Portsmouth in the early hours of Friday with its epicentre in Paulsgrove. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly, muttering "Faaackinell". The hurricane decimated the area causing approximately £30 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementos from Majorca and the Costa Del Sol were damaged beyond repair. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken well before their giros arrived. Skate FM reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered and were still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Paulsgrove. One resident - Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15-year-old mother of 5 said, "It was such a shock, my little Chardonnay-Mercedes came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two, Tyler-Morgan and Victoria-Storm slept through it all. I was still shaking when I was skinning up and watching Trisha the next morning." Apparently looting, muggings and car crime were unaffected and carried on as normal. The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Lambrini to the area to help the stricken locals. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings, including benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Duke at Argos and Bone China from Poundland. HOW CAN YOU HELP? This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after - items most needed include: Fila or Burberry baseball caps Kappa tracksuit tops (his and hers) Shell suits (female) White sport socks Rockport boots Any other items usually sold in Primark. Food parcels may be harder to come by, but are needed all the same. Required foodstuffs include: Microwave meals Tins of baked beans Ice cream Cans of Colt 45 or Special Brew. 22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms. £2 buys chips, crisps and blue fizzy drinks for a family of 9. £5 buys B&H and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected. **Breaking news** Rescue workers found a girl in the rubble smothered in raspberry alco-pop. 'Where are you bleeding from?' they asked, "Paulsgrove" said the girl, "woss that gotta do wiv you? Please don't forward this to anyone living in Pompey - oh, sod it, they won't be able to read it, anyway

First time for me also and totally agree with your sentiments. When you think of how close we came to being wound up it really brings it home to read how fortunate we are that Nicola managed to persuade Marcus to take a punt on us. Love this, quote "Southampton used to be something of a leaky ship but Cortese is adamant the holes have been plugged". I think that we can say with some optimisim that we are getting back on an even keel. The future is most definitely bright, 'cos NC/ML have faith in the Red & White. COYS!!!
