  1. Are the blue few out racing their pony & traps again?
  2. A True Saint, you are in good company Markus along with Ted, Bally and Ozzy. Condolences to the Liebherr family from Markus's extended family. RIP
  3. 94-95 season, we were palying Arsenal at the Dell, Brucie in goal. Our relationship with the PUN was probably at it lowest for years. The song that we sang that day is equally true today........ 'The 5un is full of 5hit, The 5un is full of 5hit, And now yer gonna belive us, The 5un is full of 5hit!'
  4. .... like they need an excuse?!
  5. only if the oranges are kosher!
  6. But obviously not as thick as you think we are
  7. Poor striker with a poor games to goal ratio, claims to be 31 but thought to be older, and he was a skate....... nuff said. No thanks, we need a young, hungry up and coming player who will push for a first team place, not some over the hill, overpaid yesterday man who will be happy sit on the bench and take a big wage.
  8. A judge at an employment tribunal in Southampton yesterday upheld claims by former staff whose roles ranged from chief scout to retail manager. Sweet!

WTF do people want? The same people that are banging on here now whinged when we were a plc. SFC is not a charity it is a ltd company which needs to turn over a profit to survive. That is a fact of life, if you don't like it find another hobby or pastime. This typical English attitude of it's not the winning but the taking part is bringing this country to its knees. I'm English and proud of it but I want us to be winners again, not also ran’s. It’s the same for my football club, I don't, as some have suggested, want us to be potless and bumbling around in the lower echelons and happy with our lot. I want us to be back at the top competing with the best. That, whether you like it or not, costs money. ML & NC have given the initial impetus that we need to achieve that and contrary to popular belief ML is not a philanthropist but a very successful businessman. If we didn't invest in the team to push for promotion these same moaners and groaners would be vilifying NC for no ambition. That investment has to come from within the revenue raised by the club. A model that NC has realised all clubs will eventually have to adopt. We are ahead of the game as with most other projects that SFC has initiated since being SAVED last year. The only thing, as far as I can see, that NC got wrong was the timing of the announcement for the season tickets. It would have been nice to have more notice that the payment scheme was being withdrawn. As for the allegations of lying maybe that is something you might want to consider legally? I will no doubt get torn up for rs paper for this comment as I don't post that often but the continuous petty sniping is unbelievable. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but some people are becoming obsessed, thank god we don't burn witches and heretics at the stake anymore!
  14. Cheers Barca but I fear that your sound advice will fall on mutton ears.
  15. RIP Mary, tell the 'Big Man' that the club is back on track and heading for the top flight again.
  16. Football League Show 0:34:13, Lizzie reading out the emails said that there will be a meeting at SMS Wednesday re AP?! Sorry guys just seen this earlier in the thread
  17. ...possibly the biggest laundry bill in English history???
  18. Antonio will be playing for Reading next season so an extension of the loan is unlikely? http://www.reading.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=197220
  19. sounds like a job for Mulder & Scully.................. Get real, all it sounds like to me is that too many people have been watching Danny Dyer movies.
  20. Non-league clubs can't enter it
  21. Reminds me of a quote that was in the Sun about four years ago. A journo was in Iraq interviewing some squaddies from the south who were in some place called Umtaj, or something similar, that is a port town. Apparently Geoff (Buff) Hoon who was Defence Secretary at the time had made a comment that it was a similar town to Southampton and they were asking the squaddies if they thought that was correct. One lad quickly replied "There are no prostitutes, no beer and people are shooting at us, it's more like p*rtsmouth than Southampton".
  22. It beggars belief that the FA would even consider them as a world cup venue. I appreciate that people would travel from further afield for such an event but one of the prime consderations must be local support. We could easily have the required ground improvements to sms and fill it, that would be nailed on for the bigger league games and internationals.
  23. WTF!?
  24. Given that at least a third of those attending kraP nottarF at the moment are Prem plastics then even if they survive that is a totally unrealistic target. I suspect a fair few of those will gravitate back to SMS when we regain our rightful place in the top flight.
