  1. If saints were to go dwn the pan then I would be 100% with you mate! Totton are a club on the up people, They will hopefully be getting the go ahead on their new ground soon ( March or April ) then watch The Stags move up the leagues in years to come. The season after next they will be having derby's with Eastleigh, then The Stags will bypass them on their way to the football league!!!
  2. Lowe will be at this club untill the administrators are called in. He is far too arrogant to even consider resigning. I know administration would be bad for the club BUT the one good thing it would do is render his shares worthless. Should he manage to wingle his way back in post administration, then we should all go and either form a new club and start in the Wessex league or do what i'm doing now and start supporting the mighty AFC Totton!!!
  3. I remember saints beating Man Utd 1-0 with a ****erill goal in the snow at the Dell about 86' ? I also remember saints beating Everton 3-0 at the Dell in the late 70's on a snow covered pitch.
  4. Zoltan Liptak, I bought some of this in Boots today, its dead handy for chapped lips!
  5. Get well soon Ed!
  6. One of the most eventfull days in my life, so much happened from the minute we left Totton. It got very interesting once our train got to Portchester and people got on wearing blue scarves!!! The walk up Goldsmith avenue was fun both to Farton and back to the station afterwards. Can anyone remember arriving at Farton station and seeing loads of Skates lining up along the top of the embankment behind the grey wall shouting 'scummers' at us! The ol bill told us that we would be escorted up to the ground but when we got past the coppers at the station entrance it was a free for all!!! No ol bill to be seen out in Goldsmith Avenue, I reckon they were stretched to the limit that day. I saw people with bloodied faces after being slashed with Stanley knives ( not nice ) When we got in the ground at 2pm it was already half full and rockin! The atmosphere by 3pm was like nothing you've heard, it was electric and 'very nasty' Can you remember those retards on the North terrace?( the ones that coined Mark Dennis ) Obviously the goal in the 90th minute went down like a lead balloon with them and we must have been kept in the ground for 30-45 mins and once we got out there were still skates hiding down side streets wanting some! I remember the police escort back was charged by the skates on several occasions as they tried to get at us and some of us wanted it and tried to break out of the escort. I remember some dopey skates on their flat balconies shouting abuse at us only for the saints fans to kick down a wall and throw bricks at them, watching them scramble back in their flats was rather amusing! There is so much more I could add to this but i'd take a while!
  7. I reckon there will be about 400-500 easily, thats a good enough turnout. If we get beaten you could do the march back to the Bargate with twice as many!!! If you are going to the game and you want Lowe & Wilde out then be there.
  8. Didn't you know Rupert has earmarked him to be loaned back out so dn't get to excited!!!
  9. Some people on here were saying that the march was a waste of time, well it isnt a waste of time and fair play to everyone who'll be there. Already the media are showing an interest in the demonstrations Those that are there will be there because they care!!!
  10. If Crouch had the £6m to put in I am sure he wouldn't just chuck it in to pay off the overdraft, surely he'd want to negotiate with the bank to pay that off in stages whilst using the bulk of the £6m to buy players. Lowe & Wilde know that crouch isn't going to chuck his money into paying off the overdraft, its just bluster from the pair of twerps!!! They are trying to make it look as if Crouch hasn't got the finance to come in. If I were Crouch and I had the £6m to put in I would just reply by saying I'll put the money in but it will be used the way I want to use it NOT the way you want me to use it!
  11. I believe its this simple. If you are unhappy with Lowe & Wilde you turn up and join this protest, You can still do lots of other spontaneous protests in the ground outside the ground, you can boycott a future game, not renew your ST, Its not a case of choosing one way of protesting over another DO THE F****N LOT!!! Everybody support other peoples ideas and they might support yours!!!
  12. I've often thought the same thing St Andy.
  13. I believe this club could've been taken over a few times over but Lowe and his greedy friends (Askham and Co) have been unrealistic in what they have been asking for their shares. Part of me wishes that the club would go into administration just to see their shares worthless.
  14. A brilliant letter. People make no mistake this time the protests need to be taken to a level never ever seen at SFC, EVERYBODY Do you care about this club enough to get off your backside and contribute time and energy into ridding this club of the evil that runs it? We need to get together and agree action plans on how to shame Wilde and Lowe out of this club FOR GOOD!!! we will never get everybody to agree on what to do, but we should be able to muster up significant numbers to protest in and out of the ground we also need new ideas, things that have never been done before, some things that will catch the imagination and get us good media coverage. Get your thinking heads on folks. How about a creating the worlds longest banner with LOWE & WILDE OUT NOW on it that thousands of saints fans could dangle from the itchen bridge before a league game or could we hold a Lowe & Wilde out prossession in cars and lorries along the main routes through southampton, We could do it on a saturday morning b4 a home game It could l start at Redbridge and go through southampton right through Bitterne and across to Bursledon where we could all meet up and have a short Lowe & Wilde out rally on the Bursledon Market site??? before everybody goes off to St Marys to watch the game. Can you imagine hundreds of vehicles decked out in red and white with Lowe & Wilde out banners on them travelling right through the city from one end to the other? Think about it!
  15. I am going to repeat what I have said on here before. I wholeheartedly agree that Portvliet is not up to the job and he needs to go BUT so does Lowe and Wilde. and it doesn't stop there Lowe, Askham etc and Wilde Have to sell their shares and sever links to the club FOR GOOD!!! If this does not happen then the club will continue to have major problems....changing a manager will simply be cosmetic, he would inherit a the same squad full of kids who a generally not up to it. He would have no money to put this right and he would have to work under an arrogant chairman who has a reputation for intereference in team affairs. So in my opinion you would not get a manager of any quality to come here anyway! Changing the manager will not get to the root of this clubs problems, which stem from it being a PLC and who owns the shares. A TOTALLY FRESH APPROACH is needed with FRESH FACES IN THE BOARDROOM! and PRESSURE needs to be put on Lowe, Askham & Wilde etc to SELL THEIR SHARES!!!
  16. Thats spookey mate we both did the same tghing at the same time!!! ( see my other post )
  17. You can hear the Size interview here aswell as Portvliets interview and the Barnsley managers interview too. ttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7808268.stm
  18. Its not often that I agree with you Manji but Size does sound like smashing bloke judging by those interviews. Lets hope he turns out to be a rock in our defence, the early signs are encouraging.
  19. Ruperts wasting our money on a PR company again!!!
  20. Right ok, we were playing Man Utd and for most of the game we had 10 men. but Man Utd wont even have to wash their kits, they won the game in 1st gear! Ian Hollaway said on Radio 5 that Saints have no structure or shape to their play and that if we are not carefull the youngsters may be harmed by playing in a team that gets beaten most weeks. John Motson said that he couldn't understand why we left 2 reasonably experienced players on the bench and didn't opt to bring them on ( BWP and Euell ). Earlier on in the day David pleat and Steve Claridge were scathing about Rupert Lowe and believe the club is in trouble with him running it. Before anyone starts having a dig at Claridge, he was complimentary about the fact we were always been a well run club when we were at the Dell and we still have a big fan base, pointing to the that we had 26000 v Notts Forest but overall we are only getting around 14000 as an average crowd as most Saints fans are dissallusioned with how the club is being run. They are both concerned with how much Rupert influences footballing decisions.
  21. The radio said 3.500 reading fans so we should break the 15.000 barrier.
  22. The one thing us Saints fans have learned over the years is that NOTHING is Ruperts fault!!! Lowe 'may' sack Portvliet but he will probably make him issue a statement claiming all of the blame and praising Rupert to the hilt in return for instant pay up of his contract!
  23. The one thing us Saints fans have learned over the years is that NOTHING is Ruperts fault!!! Lowe 'may' sack Portvliet but he will probably make him issue a statement claiming all of the blame and praising Rupert to the hilt in return for instant pay up of his contract!
  24. The fans really need to make their feelings known at the games now. It is pretty damn obvious that we will go down and we are heading into administration. The chairman needs to be told in no uncertain terms that he has to F--k off and take Portvliet with him!!! Don't listen to the Lowe luvvies VENT YOUR ANGER!!!
