Sorry folks i was referring to the commentary on the highlights and not the live commentary during games. I quite enjoyed the MK Dons highlights back in October when they used Radio Solents commentary instead of that dubbed over crap that they use most other weeks, you could also hear the crowd on that occasion!
-
I have now got to the point where I have got to get it off my chest. The commentary is crap week after week, the commentators sound half interested, and you cant hear the crowd. One of the major things that makes football exciting is being able to hear the crowd celebrate goals and hearing the crowd singing, i bet the atmosphere was cracking on tuesday night, but you wouldn't have a clue watching it on Saints player. Who, at the club do I need to speak to regarding this? Can somebody let me know. Thanks.

Shhhh The FK is here, dont tell everyone! Just realised that somebody else has started a thread with this vid!

I notice that a few of the old Pro Lowe brigade are pro Echo on this issue mmmm, How ironic is that? Perhaps there is a devious pan in place to destablise the new owners, perhaps Lowe is planning to come back again and has briefed his old b-u-m lickers on what to say on here in hope that it may sway us against Leibher and Cortese....i must stop my imagination from running wild!
-
Some of you haven't got a clue. Luton will be a very tough test! Resting too many players may prove dangerous. LUTON WILL BE NO MUGS........they have beaten very decent opposition in Rotherham and Rochdale in the cup so far BOTH of those sides are challenging in the league below us. Some of you are getting too c-o-c-k-y!
-
Who the **** raised the issue of Lowe again? Lets forget about him and MOVE ON!!!

Does anybody fancy watching two games on 26th December? The VT v AFC Totton top of the table clash kicks off at 11.30am at Portsmouth Road ( opposite Veals ). Lots of Totton fans will be going over, then popping over to St Marys for the Exeter match at 3pm.

Saints vs Rotherham or Luton - 3rd Round Draw Thread
CLOTH EARS replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Luton or Roherham will NOT be as easy as some of you think! Luton beat Rochdale away in the last round and Rochdale are one of the best teams in Lg 2, Rotherham are a decent outfit and will be capable of turning us over if we are not 100% at it! -
I wouldn't disagree with you tbh. Some of our players may well have got complacent after the nice things people had been saying about them recently. Brighton really wanted it MORE there is no doubt about that. IF they could keep that level of performance up then they might well make the top 6 themselves. We all know though that after about 5 or 6 games their level of performance will drop off as the new manager syndrome wears off, that is when Poyet will have to show them what he is made of. As for us we must now start again V Norwich on saturday and show people that this was a one off! We ARE better than today and we must now show that nigh on every week. We cannot afford to let ourselves be outfought like we were for most of todays game.
-
Thats brought us back down to earth! We did ok 2nd half but Brighton played like men possessed! If we'd played Brighton two weeks ago then we would've won this game easily....Bloody new managers!!!!

I remember the Maple Leaf very well, I had my pre match drink in there for the last two seasons at The Dell, reasonably priced beer too if I remember. I also had my wedding reception in the back hall where SISA used to hold their meetings.

1978, FA Cup 4th Round At Eastville, the old home of Bristol rovers, we lost 2-0 Paul Randall scored both goals for them.
-
I think this game will be tight. Brighton will be fired up, their players will be trying to impress their new manager. We should still edge it though, probably 2-1. If we had played Brighton a couple of weeks ago I think we'd have beaten them convincingly.
-
We will get Bath City, Aldershot or Wycombe or Brighton.
-
You will have to be content with the mighty AFC Totton on the 24th.
-
I always buy it from Tesco Express in Calmore for Saints news and for the non league section. The Pink must be saved!!! SAVE THE PINK!!!
-
The crowd will be about 8.500 Which wouldn't be bad really.
-
FFS Changing the manager is NOT the answer.

When my grandparents were alive I remember them telling me about when they used to go to the Dell in the 1920's. Back then not many ladies went to football. My grandparents stopped going in the late 1960's. I am involved at AFC Totton and we have two lovely old boy supporters who were at the first ever Totton match at Testwood Park in 1933. One is 90 and the other is 86. It will be quite sad for them next year, because we are moving to a new ground in Calmore.

The thing I remember most about that little shop was that it was a nightmare getting in there on matchdays!

I was at a wedding last week, and i turned around during the ceremony to see by wifes brother in law with his earpiece in putting the thumbs up and signalling 1-0 and whispering Lal-lan-a, needless to say this didn't go down well with his missus!!!

Agree 100%, Anyone who seriously wants Pardew out are simply out of their minds. THE LAST THING THIS CLUB NEEDS NOW IS YET ANOTHER CHANGE OF MANAGER!!! The fact of the matter is that the pre season games against Eastleigh, Totton, Bournemouth Cheltenham etc were meaningless because the majority of those players who played in those games were either not good enough or not ready for the rough and tumble of League One football. It was obvious to me that a new manager would have to bring in lots of new faces. Effectively our pre season started when we played Millwall and we are now at the stage where we are almost ready. We are simply a month behind all the other teams in League One with the added burden of a 10 point deduction. We will be OK. I would soon expect Saints to put a good run of results together. We will hopefully be out of the bottom 4 by Christmas and in the top half by the end of the season. Next season I believe the fans will have the right to moan if after 7 games we still haven't won a game. At this moment in time we need the fans 100% behind Pardew and the players. COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!
-
Don't panic peeps, the crowd will be about 18.500.

This is the simplest song to sing about him and it fits nicely ( to the tune of 'your not singing anymore' ) Papa Waigo N'daiye Papa Waigo N'daiye Papa Waigo Papa Waigo Papa Waigo N'daiye
