Excellent work fella - great time for a first go at the distance! I managed to get my half time down to 1:48:14 at the Brighton Half the other day. Eastbourne half this Sunday, but I won't be looking for a time there with the Rome marathon in 2 weeks.

Let me save you all some time: frantic day of F5ing and Twitter stalking all round. No news until towards COP when it breaks either that personal terms are a stumbling block or he wants to talk to QPR too. He joins QPR this week, and is public enemy #2 (no-one beats 'Arry) when they come down here. My kids are 6 and 3 - their school / nursery are in the same road, about 5 miles from our place. They both rudely expect to be driven there AND picked up at the end of the day. Don't know they're born! Seriously though, I'll be twitchy about them travelling to school without me or their Mum until they're into their teens I should imagine. I'm just one of those parents. It's not that I don't expect to be able to trust them, it's every other **** out there I'll be wary of!

Well done folks, some excellent times being posted here! I had a 1:25 target, came in at 1:24:41 - a close shave indeed! Pleased with the direction I'm going, 4th in a row, times = 1:47, 1:40, 1:33, 1:24 - I'd like to crack 1:15 next year, if I go again, as I'm toying with entering the Beachy Head Marathon which falls on the same day.

Looking forward to it. Got an Orange wave start this year so hoping for plenty of room as they all tear off in front of me. Put in 1:28 on my last flat 10m training run, looking for 1:25 on the day.
