Personally, I just went for the SaintsPlayer subscription and did that last year. Unless you're a fan of seeing grown men weep at a seemingly unassailable 1-0 half time deficit, match days aren't all that on SaintsWeb.

Admirable passion, Benjii. We clearly have some strong views about the closure of the thread. I'm not sure that the "closer crowd" have the same conviction? Anyone vehemently against the resurrection of the thread? Are there technical reasons not to do so?

All I did was answer a question on a thread, on-topic too. I wouldn't equate that with complaining. I seem to recall that most people on that thread were in favour of closing it, and I've already stated that I would welcome the return of this much-missed thread back into the general fabric of the SaintsWeb tapestry.

As one of the posters who expressed an opinion that the "long thread was useless", I have to say I am surprised at the reaction and drama to the closing of one thread. The way some of you are going on, you'd think someone had stabbed your puppy. Right now, I'm indifferent. If this is so upsetting, perhaps the long thread should be resurrected. I personally look forward to seeing the revolutionary posts of victory when the oppressed masses get their thread back.

The whole parades thing is a gratuitous triumphalist wind-up, a reopening of old wounds on a yearly basis and fuels bigotry in the process. The sooner they go away, the better.
