  1. If his choices are between Southampton and Stoke, I suggest he visit both places before coming to a decision.
  2. Some tweetage from @upthesaints indicating that a move for Matt Kilgallon might be on the cards. If true, NA clearly not putting all eggs in one basket.
  3. Brilliant
  4. I think there is every chance that this guy is a direct replacement for Chambo.

  6. That one definitely slipped past the sub-editor
  7. The top 5 are not immune. Clichy already gone to City. Fabregas and Nasri reportedly wanting away. Even United have problems - they couldn't keep hold of Ronaldo forever. A player's motivation isn't anything like that of a supporter. There's still loyalty in the game, but there are always going to be players whose heads are going to be turned by more money and perceived better opportunities. The best that we can hope for is that we have enough committed quality players coming through the academies.
  8. Young Boys used to play in a Stadium called Wa.nkdorf.
  9. Multi-tasking, eh? Imagine if you kicked the bucket during your vinegar strokes... Wouldn't look very good when your family finds you.
  10. They do. Most of us don't do as much exercise as them, though.
  11. Have you seen all of this yet?
  12. So, a few recommendations. Breaking Bad is back. If you haven't seen it, the general premise is that a high school chemistry teacher finds out he has terminal cancer and decides to start making crystal meth to provide a nest-egg for his family after his death. Very well written, with some real dark humour. Brian Cranston ( Malcolm in the Middle's dad ) is the lead. True Blood is back for a fourth season. Excellent show, but full of nooky like most HBO stuff. I'm not actually against nooky per se, but it looks a bit sussed when you're watching these shows in digs, and there are sounds of sexual conduct coming from your room. Set in a universe where vampires are real, and have "come out". Finally, any fans of the 80s Transformers show that have been disappointed with the big screen Baygasms will love Transformers Prime. It's a CGI show masterminded by two of the Lost writers, focuses on the robots, has the original actors for Optimus Prime and Megatron in their respective roles and also features sci-fi legend Jeffrey Combs. What more could you want, apart from the obvious, which is a life.
  13. Agree with Punk on the veg there. Extra tip? Get yourself a steamer and steam the stuff you'd normally boil. It's a lot tastier that way and therefore, a lot easier to buy into.
  14. I can see some obvious flaws in this cunning, but effective plan.
  15. Between 10 and 20 minutes, as soon as I get up in the morning. Normally take something into the bog with me, and have names for toilet-tech combinations. iPoo - a poo in the company of an iOS device. PSPoo - a poo with ye olde PSP in tow. Craptop - any poo using a portable personal computer. The Today Poogramme - The art of listening to John Humphries grill a politician while trying to crimp one out.
  16. No idea, sorry. I have a simple rule. If I can't see the wanger without the aid of a mirror, it's time to stop eating crap. Mind you, I'm a filthy smoker too, so don't generally have much of an appetite.
  17. It's all in the carbs. Any carbs that aren't burnt off get turned into glycogen. Glycogen eventually becomes fat. All this from GCSE science, which happened around 20 years ago.

    SaintsPlayer

I don't get down to Southampton as often as I should, and love SaintsPlayer. Remember how difficult it was to get any Saints coverage when we got relegated from the Prem. Last year, I got to see more Saints footage than ever before, and we were in league one. I'd recommend it to any Saints fan.
  21. While it'd be easy to paint Cameron as an out-of-touch toff whose elevation to PM is entirely a product of the old boys network, the man has had one of the best educations you can buy in this country. Competence shouldn't be an issue. More likely, he's compromised. This is playing out like a Mexican stand-off at the moment. It'll be interesting to see if and when he takes the offensive.
  22. Let's put it out there. He has shown weak leadership. Whether that is for fear of what might be revealed or a genuine inability to grasp the nettle is immaterial really. The man has lost a lot of authority, and if he flutters this much over phone-hacking, who knows how he'll cope if the sh-i-t really hit the fan.
  23. I am of course, amused by your narrative - and enjoy your overall point, that fanciful conspiracy can be far more attractive than cold hard coincidence, but on this occasion, there are other factors. I find it amazing that the police are almost immediately able to rule the death as "not suspicious". Given the deceased's profile and what he might know, I would have thought his death to be very suspicious, especially if I was employed in a capacity where suspicion is a positive character trait. How much investigation could they have seriously conducted about his state-of-mind and whereabouts in the few short hours it took to announce that there was "nothing to see here"? My opinion on Cameron is that he's on his way out. I honestly don't believe that the Tory mandarins didn't do their homework on Coulson. They have the connections to get full disclosure on Coulson, even if it was just off-the-record, and I'm sure they did. His alleged involvement in the hacking scandal was public knowledge. It is not something they'd overlook or be fobbed off over. So I reckon Cameron knew, and that we're getting closer to the point where that becomes a matter of public record. I also think it likely that phone hacking has already been used in political campaigns.
  24. Yup, I had exactly the same feeling. It's not exactly an original trick, but it seems to work.
