This has been around for a good few years now, but still brilliant :- Jay Z vs Architecture in Helsinki - 99 Hearts

Do we have to? Can't it be both?

In one sense, it is a shame that the English don't really have much of a national identity. But on the other hand, a big part of our national identity is not giving much of a crap about national identity. Compare us with the likes of France or the US, where they essentially brainwash their kids at an early age. That said, as an atheist who tolerates, rather than embraces the existence of a monarchy, the current anthem doesn't really do it for me. I nominate Tinie Tempah's "Pass Out" as something which better reflects my experience of England. I happen to agree strongly with the part about "been to Southampton but never been to Sc-unthorpe" Dunno if Nige would approve though.

He sounds a bit flighty to me. Not what you need in a defender. The last thing you want is your centre-back considering the feelings of the striker bearing down on him.

Harsh but fair.

AC/DC are back on the playlist, although Bon Scott's getting more of a nod than Brian Johnson at the minute. Musical comfort food.

LOL (I hope it gets better)

I like Cortese. He has done good things for the club. He does look like a nob in that picture. The two achievements are not mutually exclusive.
-
Ahhhhh ha ha. Ha ha. Chortle, arf etc. At least we're being efficient. Cortese managing to look ridiculous and provide ammo to fans elsewhere.

I would be up for a referendum, but not until the ASA closes the loophole which allows blatant lies to be told during referendum campaigns.

Coffee, but gotta be done right. My preferred brew is 5-strength Taylor's coffee, prepared in one of those metal jugs you stick on the stove. That said, I love tea when I'm in Southampton.

City of Liverpool cruise terminal: Turnaround operations consultation

Oh, and I'll take your New Forest, and raise you North Wales, the Lake District and the Pennines. Maybe not the Pennines, it's a bit far and a bit wet. -

That's an oversimplification, imo. The worst parts of Liverpool are much worse than the worst parts of Southampton. Southampton is consistently nicer if you like touring residential areas, but that's not what people visit cities for. Just compare the two skylines, count the number of theatres, period buildings and visitor attractions. -
As do I, and I think that might have been the second one I actually listened to. Doesn't sound as polished as some of the other stuff they did, but still brilliant - and I bet they still play Seek and Destroy at every gig. I like The Four Horsemen off that one. Creeping Death off their second album is fecking awesome live.

Thanks for the ringing endorsement, mate I am slowly building a case, on this very forum, to counter your accusations of intelligence

Dunno. Never fully got into the Black album. I think they sacrificed too much of themselves on that. Granted, Enter Sandman was ace - but I was a bigger fan when they were ostensibly anti-establishment and doing eight minute tracks. Up until and including ...And Justice For All, they were the complete opposite to the "first album is the best" rule. Every album was better than the last, imo. The black album was a crossroads for Metallica, a veritable stepping stone into sh*te. How does Death Magnetic compare to their earlier stuff?

Good, 'cos there are a few people on here who could benefit from a snog; others - a damn good seeing to.

Classic TSW. We are renewed

I have suspected for some time, that SaintsWeb has been seeded with user accounts that all belong to the same person. Look at the whole incident with Deppo and the stain. I don't mind admitting that I was surprised when that outing came along, mostly because 'the stain's join date was from way back. I wouldn't be surprised if half the posts in these 'madness' threads are from the same person posing as different posters, satisfying various parts of a creative writing qualification.

I wouldn't characterise it as meaningless. I'm learning a lot here (although having to look up definitions in my copy of Psychology for Dummies).

Which is inevitable, I agree. Are you trying to position your tongue in Thedelldays terrace?

Yep. Reminds me very much of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shk8HawnCTs

Thanks for editing me into your little chart. I do have to ask. When you were a little boy, dreaming of what you might become, did you ever realise it would come to this? That you'd be a grown man seeking attention on an Internet forum by asking questions that most people leave behind at primary school? Is this what your career guidance counsellor said you should do?
