  1. It's all hypothetical. I suppose the best way to answer that question is how much stuff have you had to do because you're a single parent, and how much has that stopped you from achieving? I've sacrificed stuff for my kids as part of a dual parent family.
  2. This is fkn genius. Southampton buskers tackle this very issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhQBAu0Yypk Quite catchy too.
  3. Well, you wonder how "general" the problem is going to be. Is this something that's only going to affect millionaires and/or people with hugely acrimonious relationships with their ex?
  4. Marriage is a risk just like anything else. I wouldn't be happy if I was in this bloke's shoes, but I've seen women have to raise kids on their own. It's not easy. No-one else to share the various burdens with, and it could be argued that many of the hardships she faced are a consequence of the breakdown of the relationship. Having raised my own kids in a two parent family, ms pap and I have had everything easier compared to a single parent. This won't destroy marriage, but I do reckon it'll provide more work for lawyers as people seek exemption from future financial claims as part of divorce settlements.

    EU and whose army?

Thanks hypo. That's great. The rest of the forum can move on now.

    EU and whose army?

Excellent article by Peter Hitchens. http://www.spectator.co.uk/features/9459602/its-nato-thats-empire-building-not-putin/ Also worth checking out is the audio debate, available on the page.
  7. Don't get married. Works for me.
  8. **Applause** Special mention has to go to the fúckwits that go to the studio.
  9. 2) Poster obsession (DoC) 3) People's names used in thread titles ("FAO: Helmwhacker", etc) 4) Wilful cluelessness 5) Turkish
  10. Dwarf porn? Pervert.
  11. I'd put "top 5 lists" amongst the top 5 shít concepts to port over from the UI, the SaintsWeb fan site.
  12. The producer thing and whole fracas business is just a smokescreen. This is what actually happened. Clarkson entered a plush suite bedecked with a full-size mirror. No-one was in the room when he entered, and he was alone the entire time. Nevertheless, Clarkson left with broken glass embedded in both knuckles and a £200 bill for "Sundries". When asked to explain his behaviour, Clarkson privately admitted. "I could not help myself. I had to punch the c##t"*. * Dramatic pauses removed for legibility.
  13. She turned me into a newt.
  14. New title. New format. TWOC Gear. Replace the Clarkson and Clarkson-alikes with some professional Mancunian car chorers and have them going around the world nicking motors, the "challenge" being to see whether they can elude the local authorities long enough to not get killed. If they do get killed, just get new Mancs. They are the best car thieves in the country atm.
  15. I'm not seeing things in terms of heroes and villains, nor am I trying to whitewash dictators. In an ideal world, international crimes would be detected, tried and enforced equally. I'm not condoning anything that these dictators have done. The Libyan torture techniques in particular sound horrific. The West is not even handed in its pursuit of international law, nor is it above dealing with unsavoury regimes when it suits. Our government was prepared to do business with Libya. We did business with Iraq, back in the 1980s when Saddam was our mate and we were whispering "Invade Iran, Invade Iran" in his ears. The US gave Iraq biological and chemical weapon tech during the war. They used it against the Iranians, and again against the Kurds. We've got our own historical part to play in the plight of the Kurds, when we drew lines over bits of the Ottoman Empire and left them scattered in nation states that didn't want them. We do business with nasty and oppressive regimes now, so let's not pretend that we're imbued with some moral rectitude that makes us better. We sell oppressive regimes weapons for use against their own people. We'll hypocritically condemn Russia for its newly enacted "can't teach kids a homosexual lifestyle" law in our media, but say fúck all about our mates in Saudi Arabia, where homosexuality itself carries the death penalty, and they'll also kill you for sedition, sorcery and apostasy. Amongst other things. If we are what we say we often purport ourselves to be, people that praise and fight for liberty, then I think we need to exercise those values in an even-handed and fair way, and not turn a blind eye when a country with a terrible human rights record happens to be oil rich and compliant. The West's enemies charge it with hypocrisy, and they're not wrong. That doesn't mean that people like Putin are automatically right. He has his own agenda, just as anyone else does. When making a plea to see the nuances and shades of grey in the world, it's probably best not to create your own Axis of Evil in the process.
  16. Think it's worth wheeling this out.

    Good v Evil

I've always thought so. You'd think that we could agree on some of the big stuff. For example, killing another human being. If I were to go out and do that today in my capacity as private citizen, I'd be tried and convicted. If, however, I joined the Armed Forces and killed someone, no such sanction would be applied. Various holy books all say that this act is evil, and our law upholds these principles. The only real difference is the social convention you mention, which says if you kill someone as a member of the Armed Forces, you're doing good instead of evil.
  18. Yeah yeah. So what's the jip then, Tim? You going to start behaving yourself?
  19. Bah, you're not comparing apples with apples, Bear. Either change my search name to "Sex with Paul" (who the fúck calls themselves "pap", FFS?) or compare "Sex with Pap" with "Sex with buctootim".
  20. Thanks for the vote of confidence, UJ. I am somewhat surprised that you didn't mention the autism, cognitive disorders and neo-Nazi leanings though. Tim sees these qualities all the time, and hasn't even met me. I guess you're not as qualified a doctor as he is
  21. Oh aye, Bazza got me a good one. Admitted it then and admit it now.
  22. Aw, mate. I'm sorry. I assumed that was your best shot. Do you mean to tell us you are actually four years more repellent than you look there? Can we get an updated photo, assuming there's a camera lens robust enough to capture the image?
  23. VFTT has given me loads of crap in the past but doesn't bother me at all. I've caught some crap from you too. Neither of you have ever displayed the unending hostility that Tim admits to, which is why we can all get on now.
  24. This is what I don't get. You're in the US. Your accent gives you licence to nail anything that moves, and yet you are still sad sex-less case.
  25. It's not really a "pack" per se. Tim has independently managed to get our attention, is all. It's good to share the experiences. I don't feel so alone now that I know he lies about others.
