  1. Will we? I was under the impression Lowe cashed that clause in when we were in the mire.
  2. Nah, Verbal looks like Belloq from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Just after opening the Ark.
  3. David Cameron just committed a bit of a gaffe, describing the upcoming election as career-defining. He quickly corrected it to "country-defining", but yeah, priorities.
  4. I loved American Scream. Great bio. What I loved about Hicks was his believability. The story about him tripping in the talking car still makes me grin just thinking about it.
  5. It's the sort of place that makes you count your lucky stars. I know it is not the same all over, and I know that we have elements of that here. Neither country (UK or US) does a decent enough job of looking after maimed veterans and the like, even though both are more than willing to put them in harm's way. I remember meeting some tough as nails Special Forces guy in the middle of a very public breakdown. He'd been on tours. "Clear the room" is basically a euphemism for "kill everybody inside, man, woman or child". The boy was bawling his eyes out.
  6. I am very much looking forward to getting home and playing Mario Kart 8's new 200cc mode. Let me say that again. 200cc. Now long term Mario Kart fans will already know that it is the most deceptively evil game in existence. I'm tenacious enough to have done the harder modes on most of the games (I have still never got gold in the Gamecube all 16 races mode tho'), but it is only really through repetition and a bit of luck. Nothing brings on the cold rage like being hit again and again by some bastards' shells, or indeed, getting shrunk when going off a ramp. 200cc. Eek.
  7. I do not know. I do know that most people are right handed, and would keep their sword on their left hand side. I am drawing to the end of my current visit in the US. It has been a good trip, but you couldn't exactly describe it as perfect. As I said earlier, the poverty is getting to reasonably shocking levels and doesn't seem to give a crap what colour you are. Was speaking with a black taxi driver on my way downtown the other night. He was telling me that he lives in the projects. I mentioned that I come from the nearest English alternative, a good old fashioned council estate. We shared our experiences. I remarked that I'd known a couple of people to be murdered on my estate. He reckons he's lost 30 friends or family members on his. That is a huge difference.
  8. Tax is a huge part of the social contract. We pay income tax because we know that we'll get things like free education and healthcare out of the bargain. Corporations pay income tax because they get to operate in a decent market and enjoy a framework that makes it easy to do business, certainly in comparison to some of the race to the bottom countries that big corp is flocking to. I've mentioned this before, but our firm has an assembly facility in the Philippines. If you're sent out there, you travel from the airport with armed bodyguards. Same deal applies with going back and forth to work, and your evening options are "stay inside hotel complex". That's it. It's just not safe. Similarly, we provide a framework in which people can amass wealth and property without too much fear of it being stolen or smashed by the locals. Inheritance tax is part of the deal. If you want to see robbery, go to the Philippines without armed guards.
  9. On the political scale, I'm :- Economic Left/Right -7.63 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -5.69
  10. Just as he should realise that there are some bitter old tarts that purposefully misrepresent what others have said, yet cry like b!tches when someone puts a name to the lies.
  11. Somewhat missing the point, me ol' fruit and nut. The cuts have been pretty savage already, with little consideration as to how they'll affect the people who bear the brunt of them. One can only imagine that more people will end up destitute as a result of further cuts, leading to more food banks, suicides and the like. At the same time, they're proposing that we allow people to skip inheritance tax on properties of up to 2million. Completely inhumane policy making. But hey, the really important issue here is Danny Alexander's duplicity, right?
  12. The sword is a huge part of British life; we still live with its legacy today. It's one of the reasons that we drive on the left, historically speaking.
  13. C'mon mush. You've been name-calling with the best of them. Live by the sword, die by it.
  14. Simpler explanation. You post a lot of crap frequently, mostly not your own content, so struggle when you go original. No shame in it.
  15. Yeah, but they'll probably believe you when you backtrack on your inane questions.
  16. Perhaps you should deliver your "rhetoric" to a more suitable audience. They may be impressed. No guarantees.
  17. I bet that's what you sob to yourself every night as you cry yourself to sleep.
  18. UJ has 139. Let battle commence.

  22. S'all cool brother. Just engage with your boys and girls here. I'd honestly rather not be sparring with ya, but you make it difficult.
  23. Nope. Thinking and analytical. That's how IQ tests work. Tbh, don't place much stock in them, but I am 148. Soz.
  24. Didn't know. Wasn't intended seriously. Genuine apology to you, sir.
  25. You don't believe I'm a size 8? Bastard.
