You should read the match thread. Not everyone.

I accept he'd be good, but we would need to sign another left back as well if Shaw goes. Who would that be?
-
http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/premier-league-news/40242-southampton-ponder-move-for-spurs-defender.php Would be good WITH Shaw but not instead of.

To be honest, we'd be better off signing a new player named after a cigarette who could play up front on their own. If we signed a Butler, what will happen when Lambert leaves/retires? We'd be left with a Butler and in exactly the same position as we are now, so we'd need to go out and buy a Lambert. We'd be stuck in an endless cycle of looking for one or the other. We'd be better off buying a player named "Malboro" or "Mayfair" or "Camel". In an ideal world we'd find some foreign player who smoked and scored goals and was named "Lucky Strike", but that's unlikely.

It doesn't make any difference at all. I would be less happy if a player was smoking weed as this might have an impact on their motivation and smoking crack is a big no-no. But normal cigarettes are perfectly fine and won't negatively impact upon the players or performance. People smoke because it's relaxing, so if it helps the players cope with the pressures of the game then that is a good thing.

Yes, he is good enough.

He saved a shot with his testicles and was in pain.

Great news about her new baby. She's a great Royal - low key, does a good job representing the British people. She was apparently very active during her pregnancy, even playing Polo! What she shows is that you can be a Royal without being a bellend. I look forward to seeing some photos. The only downside is that she's had a girl. Would have preferred it if she had had a son. All the best Zara and little baby. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2541219/A-active-pregnancy-As-Zara-Phillips-announces-birth-baby-girl.html

Hahaha! Brilliant! Yes, I'd love to see him at Watford! That is great humour! My father passed away a few months ago.

I feel incredibly disappointed by Lee's departure. A true gem and a true and gent. He played the game the way everyone who knows about football wants to see the game played. He was light on his feet and deft of touch. He could finish like one of the best. But maybe this want the time for him. Maybe he is destined for great things abroad, hopefully. Farewell Tadanari. All the best. You will forever be in our hearts.

£30 million for for Luke Shaw should we take it?
Ludwig replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
£30m? Where has that figure come from? I do not believe for one minute that if we were to sell him it would be for anywhere near that amount. If we did sell him we would need to have to buy two left backs. One to play first team (we could get someone good for £7m) and then one back up (£1m). With that in mind, I would be happy to sell for £20m but I don't think anyone would even offer that. I did see one report suggesting that Chelsea would offer us cash plus Ryan Bertrand. How good that deal actually is depends upon how much cash they offer. -
yes, 19 year old JWP who has played in every league game doesn't seem to fit. I hope being involved in all league and cup games doesn't hinder his progress.

I'm petty sure they do Chinese New Year in places other than Liverpool.

I've started to watch Eastenders now that Danny Dyer is in it.

Southampton Football club cashing in on Christmas?
Ludwig replied to Tractor_Saint's topic in The Saints
Presumably you thought £10 was a fair price when you bought it? Something is only worth what people will pay for it and it seems that you were happy to pay £10. -

I have no idea. It's not like you say anything worthwhile. -

This is almost as insane as your I HATE MUSLIMS thread. Ah, one of the few who defended Saint in Paradise's I HATE MUSLIMS thread also appears on here amazed that "Paki" is offensive. Strange that. I've got to say that I think you just make stuff up. Good job, buctootim. I hope you have reported these people so that the Liberal Elite can come and ship them off to a gulag. Phew! At there's one place left on earth where the bloody PC ****s haven't ruined it for everyone. This thread is, on the whole, highly amusing, but every now and then some old racist, stuck in the past raises their head, all confused about the modern world and what they can say and what they cant say. Maybe it would be better if those people just didn't bother saying anything? -
was the cut n paste function invented at your request?

haha! Daft as a brush.

Yes, I thought I remembered something about him doing stuff with the paralympians or speaking up for them, and a quick google shows this article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1094806/McMenemy-blasts-BBC-Special-Olympians-snub.html about how he stood up for the disabled atheletes after the BBC decided not to ban them from the Sports Personality of the Year awards. So why would they turn on him, thats what I dont get?
-
I've missed this - what have the paralympians been saying about Lawrie? You'd think that they of all people would want to treat others with respect, knowing what its like to have stupid comments made about them. And im sure lawrie has done good things for them as well. I suppose some people are never satisfied, able bodied or not.

Sometimes, when I read your posts, I'm convinced that you're hooked up to machines.

why are you sending his family best wishes? They won't read this thread, you know. Maybe you're just trying to make it seem like you're sending best wishes, to get some brownie points? Anyway, RIP, a great man. There have been some horrible comments on here and some people should be ashamed.

Calm down baldy.
