  1. First class !!! that old footage brought a tear to the eye
  2. Totally agree
  3. It is a fair question, a big factor as with any purchase will be the sale price.

    Diallo

Agreed. I really liked the fact that he was demanding the ball from the moment he came on the pitch and was then looking for the forward pass rather than the 5 yard sideways pass. That is especially impressive on your first match for a club with new teammates. It suggests someone who not only has confidence but also wants to be a starting player not just a squad player. High hopes for him and wish him the best of luck.
  5. I agree
  6. You're right, he controlled the game. Havent seen him play like that since though
  7. He wasn't though, was he.
  8. Very poor aerially

Nice memory, thanks for posting this.
  11. https://saintsmarching.com/2020/09/23/southampton-leeds-united-ready-sign-angus-gunn-loan/ Does seem to have fallen out of favour ..
  12. I agree - can't see us spending that money
  13. YouTube can be very misleading (the De Ridder principle) but he looks decent from that clip.
  14. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2019/feature-how-paulo-sousa-steadied-the-ship-at-bordeaux/ Not reassuring
  15. That sounds good. Can you share which one via the Board or via PM, please?
  16. Has been fine for me today, the best since the forum was moved.🤗
  17. 100% this
  18. I agree. Brilliant when he wants to play (played Pogba off the pitch) but might as well not be on the pitch when not bothered (which is most of the time).
  19. Bit old for social media anyway then ...
  20. I guess he's escaping attitudes like this; can't blame him. By the way, which part of you is actually a loyal Saint.
  21. Nathan Ake; he is good in both boxes and we should have gone for him before he went to Bournemouth but he is probably destined for a bigger club now. Josh King possibly to play alongside Ings, he averages one goal in 3 games for Bournemouth but is now 28 years old and is therefore probably outside the age range that we tend to go for. Brooks looks very good but will probably cost too much and would block some of our midfield youngsters emerging (Smallbone, Jankewitz and Reed). Nobody from Norwich or Aston Villa springs to mind, other than possibly Cantwell ..
  22. Good job Steve
  23. I agree with this, as long as we get someone decent - the money from a money only deal won't go very far.
  24. Consistent with the commercialism of football and the move to moneyball .. buy low, sell high ... great if it consistently works and relies upon a great scouting model, but huge downside if you get it wrong, as we did for a season or three ..
