Interesting (or not) note, but Sports Direct (both West Quay and Eastleigh) seem to be selling unannounced alternate home socks (white with red hoops/logo/writing) with the red 'home' socks available on the Saints website nowhere to be seen.

Both North and South were split into two "sections" prior to the draw with groups A-D coming from section 1 and groups E-H from section 2. We were in South section 2 with Skates in South section 1 - Can't see an explanation given for this, but given the teams kept apart we can probably guess.

Glad I went to the store rather than order online as the line at the bottom of the OS stories stating "The new Under Amour kits are a standard fit. For a full size guide, please click here" is inaccurate given the word "fitted" is printed on the shirts themselves. Best fit for me was between 2-3 sizes up on the Adidas Climacool shirts. At least going up in size on this one doesn't bring with it the crazily long length and arms of the own brand effort! Also, noticed a couple of differences between player shirt and replicas with the badge embroidered on the replicas and the solid red panel under the arm missing.

The "5 first team players" selection rule only applies to the EFL teams. The selection rule for invited clubs is that six of the starting eleven must be Under 21.

Out of curiosity I worked out the cost of 19 individual match tickets at this years prices and the Kingsland Centre (where the £682 renewal ST's are) totals £801 (8 X £46, 3 X £43, 8 X £38), a difference of £119. Also had a look at the difference for the reduced renewals in goals as this is where I am and 19 match tickets totals £725 (8 X £42, 3 X £39, 8 X £34), a difference of £155 over the ST renewal of £570. To be honest I was a little surprised at the differences as to me it had seemed these had eroded over recent years.

Another potential twist: SSN have just done a brief Alderweireld bit in their transfer update saying that Saints "believe they have a contract with Atletico Madrid for the defender, expect a permanent transfer to take place after he spent last season on loan at St Mary's and if the Spanish club do a deal its Tottenham (or anyone else) Southampton will consider legal action against Atletico."

The Newcastle game isn't on TV, just moved due to European game the Thursday before

Jim Lucas did a video through the clubs Periscope account looking in Barry Gale's office and said only one copy of the shirt currently exists. He also showed the back of the shirt and it's definitely striped (at the moment at least).

Are you using Chrome per chance? Very jerky for me in Chrome but fine with Firefox.

I think Rickie's moment of madness was sparked by a bit of a headbutt from the Sociedad player. I was in the Northam and It looked like they were having some verbals after Rickie was penalised for pulling the defenders shirt. The verbals continued, they got closer together and the defender chucked his head in a bit. That sparked Rickie up and he started with the pushing. When the other players got involved to break it up Rickie pointed at his head a few times as if to say "he threw a headbut".

Pretty much. Only exception would be us dropping both games by a large margin and Wigan picking up 4 points with a large victory margin in the win to swing the goal difference by 13. -

"Saints considering Mauricio Pochettino" - Daily Mirror
Mozz replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Balague on SSN now talking appointment with detail. "They had a meeting and decided that Southampton was right for Pochettino and Pochettino was right for Southampton". "His problems at Espanyol were because the money ran out and he had to sell his best players". -
Maybe don't loan a keeper with a 24 hour recall clause when you know the loan window is shut?!?

For boring clarity this is the relevant section from this years PL handbook:
-
The premier league handbook contains rules for clubs on use of screens. No "negative" incidents can be shown and there's other strange rules like not being able to shows a substitute who's preparing to come on. I guess the club just cover all replays as a matter of course to make more cash from ads and/or reduce the risk of showing something they shouldn't.

I ordered mine with box office collection to get at the Swansea game only for them to turn up in the post two days later!

It is but Saints are still listed as being bottom of the league, recent form consists of nothing but losses, every player has had their overall reduced due to being off form and all the upcoming "games of the week" happened last weekend. Could be a great feature if it actually reflected real life and wasn't a week behind.

PES is actually decent again this year as well. Just a shame that the transfers are so out of date. Gazzaniga/Clyne aren't in the game at all. Gaston/Mayuka/Yoshida can at least be transferred (though Mayuka has a fake name for Zambia by default). No transfer patch due until mid-October. Hammond/Sharp/Forecast/Barnard/Forte all in squad. Squad numbers based on last years (plus Rodriguez has 55). Shocking really. At least Boruc is in the database which is one thing it has on FIFA.

Ah, wondered why he's been going for so much. Think the cheapest I've seen was a buy it now of 30,000. Having difficulty with all the Saints rares. Only one I've managed to get for a decent price was a Seaborne. Haven't seen an awful lot of Gazzanig's and all are going for a few grand. For my 2* team I've ended up with a Saints back four, Morgan holding and 5 French players in front of him to try and boost the chemistry. Wish the matchday stuff would update more promptly. Doesnt seem a lot of point in advertising that it reflects real life if it's going to be a week out of date all ther time.
