  1. Not sure there's a lot of legal recourse with under 1 year service other than if there's a discrimination case (race, sex etc). However if he's been sacked for gross misconduct, theft, he should definitely challenge this under the company's grievance or appeal procedure. It sounds like procedures haven't been followed. Full and thorough investigation, right to representation etc. He should look for a clean reference from the company. I don't think there is any more you will get than this but you don't want a dismissal on your employment record. In my experience, if the company have not followed procedures and have little evidence, I think they will settle for this. BTW I'm not an HR expert but have handled many dismissals, grievances, appeals and tribunals from the employer side over many years.
  2. Wasn't it Adam Lallana that said that?
  3. Sad news. He lived up the road from me in Ashurst when I was growing up.
  4. Is there still a place through the "fair play league" and do we have a chance that way?
  5. SkyBet latest Odds ... Next Permanent Manager Harry Redknapp 5/1 Gary Waddock 5/1 Ian Holloway 6/1 Darren Ferguson 8/1 Neil Warnock 9/1 James Beattie 10/1 Paul Cooke 10/1 Uwe Rosler 10/1 Danny Wilson 12/1 Ian Dowie 12/1 Mark Yates 14/1 Paul Hardyman 16/1 Nigel Worthington 16/1 Gary Megson 16/1 Mark Warburton 20/1 Brian Laws 20/1 Gianfranco Zola 25/1 Keith Hill 33/1 Paul Lambert 33/1 Gus Poyet 33/1
  6. Then Reading or Blackburn take a place, I think?
  7. I think that's right but if Arsenal and Liverpool finish top four or six AND contest the FA Cup final then there is a place for 7th?
  8. Sounded like Pelle got a good reception from the locals coming off. Pleased he's off and hope the big man can score a cracker like that against Everton.
  9. Cheered that all the way! Had a tenner on him to make it even sweeter. Just need the big man to do more of the same against Everton now.
  10. Sweet. Enjoyed that!
  11. I'll be on my way ... Saw Doctors
  12. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! Seriously though, I don't think this was ever realistic and the interest in Kane was just tongue in cheek posturing; if you put a bid in for J Rod then we'll put one in for Kane.
  13. I was really worried it was a serious neck or back injury so good news.
  14. He had a great game today! I was about to say he looks a future England player but not sure that's a compliment?
  15. Remember ordering a pint of Frogs Original Croaker and being told "FOC off"!
  16. Great team performance. Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Fonte, JWP et al excellent. Man U looked very average. Champions League?? Really starting to believe.

    Hesketh

I thought he was tidy enough but not really ready. I think RK was making a point to the board in putting him on and that is that we need to strengthen the squad.
  18. Controlled the game and should have won. We need to work on the accuracy of crosses and corners. Should really be creating far more from these than we did last night. That said we were streets ahead of Villa and now really looking forward to the next three games. Shows how far we have come that we are disappointed with an away point.
  19. Great to see & thanks for posting. Agree with frankthesaint, what an array of goal-scorers! Pretty much every outfield player has scored with the exception of the centre backs and Steve Davis?
  20. I would have expected PM's contract at SFC to include three months notice at least and surprised that this is not being enforced (as gardening leave) to exclude him from engaging in the Jan transfer window? Or have I missed something?
  21. Anyone any idea when tickets will go on sale? Can't see anything on OS.
  22. All hearsay I know but someone told me yesterday that this tweet was the last straw with Boruc and therefore he was shipped out on loan (excuse the bad pun) ... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/former-celtic-goalie-artur-boruc-4286032
  23. Tadic looks very good (didn't think the penalty last night was that great though?).
  24. My Arsenal pal is saying a numbers of their players have knocks/injuries, expects them to be rested and their youngsters/reserves to play (Akpom? Zelalem?). Koeman is saying he will field the strongest side he can. Interestingly the betting has seen Saints shorten from 6/1 for a win (available last week - I'm on!) to 3/1 this morning. We can win this! COYS!
  25. LFC (saints rejects) go to WHUFC & lose 3-1. Saints go there & win 3-1. Onwards & upwards!
