  1. 28/1 a Saints win on Tuesday with Corals!
  2. Flores, sacked by Watford and more recently sacked by Espanyol, 2/1 favourite to be the next manager.

  4. The stats suggest we weren’t that bad. In fact, if we hadn’t let in six we would’ve won!!
  5. I can’t believe the negative attitude on here. Not a great match but a really good result against a side in 7th who rarely lose at home. I can only think these are spoilt “Jonny Come Latelys” who weren’t around for many of the great relegation scraps of the past. I really hope we can get everyone behind the team for the Stoke game.
  6. Yes!!! Stiff drink needed!
  7. 5 Mins Added!
  8. Ditto
  9. Donny just gone 2-1 up against Pompey. Could be a good afternoon!
  10. We have played better against the top teams (e.g. Man U, City, Arsenal - with the exception of Boxing Day) so hoping we can finally start to put away our chances and keep going i.e. not sit back if we happen to lead. I think with Cedric & Bertrand back we have a chance. I know probably clinging to false hopes but someone’s got to post something positive! Also I would Li ke to see Lemina in a more forward, attacking midfield role. He looks comfortable and skilful on the ball and hard to knock off the ball.
  11. On the bright side (pinched from elsewhere) ... League goals in this calendar year: Shane Long - 1 Kane - 0 Ronaldo - 0 Messi - 0 Suárez - 0 Bale - 0 Benzema - 0 Neymar - 0 Griezmann - 0 Heskey - 0 Bendtner - 0 Akinfenwa - 0 Every single Bundesliga team - 0

    Class Act

    I don’t overrate him or underrate him. 6.7 for me. Often a 7, 6 or 5, occasional 8 & 4 and rare 9.

    Lemina!

He is immense! Just a thought but I wonder if he could play in a more forward role? He’s quick, tricky, hard to knock off the ball and can pass. Might help our offensive play. We could always drop Steve Davis or JWP in deeper to,play alongside Romeu in DM.
  14. F*ck off Van Dijk Virgil Van Dijk I just don't think you understand Being a bin dipping man That's not a f*cking plan F*ck off Virgil Van Dijk Needs a bit of work ...
  15. 5/1 to Barca. Long odds on to stay at Liverpool.
  16. I accept these are weak markets and it doesn't take a huge amount of money to move one way or another but there's always two sides to this. If the odds shorten on one outcome then they lengthen elsewhere. The hype may encourage a flurry of activity but if you believe it's all bull**** then you should back the other outcome. e.g. fill your boots with 11/4 VVD to stay at Saints. Personally I'm in the camp no smoke without fire and think he's off.
  17. Odds on going to Liverpool are even shorter now. 1/3 Liverpool 11/4 to stay at Saints. So about a 75% chance of going, 25% staying. I know these aren't strong betting markets but a significant move over the last day or so from the previous position of around 50/50.
  18. Fred Kemp
  19. Thomas Tuchel shortened up in the betting with Paddy Power to 15/8 clear favourite. Hope there's some substance behind this!
  20. Really concerned if we ditch Puel. It would be so risky to bring in yet another manager. We need some stability and continuity. He's done well given the hand he's been dealt and surely he deserves another season.
  21. Just wondering if we could still qualify if ... - Arsenal finish in top four (a top four club wins the FA Cup) - Man U finish fifth and win the Europa League (already League Cup winners) therefore quality for CL - We climb above West Brom to finish 8th Does this give an extra Champions League place & therefore 5 in CL and 3 in EL & therefore give us a place in the UEL next season? Sorry if this has already been discussed/clarified.
  22. Lucky to get a point but thoroughly enjoyed that. Bossed the first half but hammered in the second. I think a lot of Puel but he got it wrong in subbing JWP for Bouffal. We then surrendered midfield. Tadic and Boufal are creative but lightweight and you can only afford one such player. The game changed on that sub. Got out of jail really. On the plus side thought Redmond, Romeu were excellent and J Rod put in a good shift. I don't think I've enjoyed a penalty miss that much ...
  23. Ever 1) Channon 2) MLT 3) Big Ron Now 1) Romeu 2) VVD 3) Bertrand
  24. For those that seriously think we are relegation fodder... Skybet have us at 66/1 to be relegated, BetVictor at 50/1 and a general 40/1 elsewhere. So for under a tenner you can get your season ticket for next year, if you really believe that.
  25. I posted this on the Inter thread last year and do feel there must be a fairer way of doing things (although I'm ok as a ST with one EFL cup game I now have mine) ... I think we should have some sort of loyalty scheme based on purchase history over, say, the last five years. Something like 100 pts for each season as a season ticket holder, 15 pts for each away, 5 pts for each home purchase. Not saying the weighting here is right just the principal of loyalty points. It would be relatively easy to set up as each member & ST holder already has a history and maybe fairer when it comes to these big games.
