Hmmm.....:^o
-
I've corrected your post
-
He went to Ipswich on an emergency loan so that's been discounted....SSN said there have been a few such examples today.
-
Add that £4m to the creditors list then, because Pompey will now have to honour the original contract.
-
Do we get a bye in the quarters too then? Bargain!
-
Dindane staying at Pompey
-
Can you hear those fukcwits singing my name?!
-
Some would, some wouldn't. Utaka, James, Hreiddersson wouldn't get more. Begovic certainly would, and probably on performances this season Boateng would too.
-
'Apparently'......
-
Very likely. I believe that they become free agents and so can join other clubs. I suspect Nugent is hoping they go under so he can negotiate himself a nice big whack by way of signing on fee as no transfer fee will be payable....
-
Which league will you be made to start again in? Where do you reckon you'll end up playing home games?
-
How many Pompey fans actually realise the seriousness of the situation? The way I see it, you need to sell everything (including anything that's nailed down) in order to stand a chance of actually having a football club to support after the next month. Isn't that more important than whether you sell some keeper or not? Still, I'm sure HMRC will understand this reasoning at the High Court in 10 days time...

But my point is that this isn't new news, as I thought it was common knowledge that Azougy was employed by Arcadi Gaydamak in his dealings at Beiter. In the same way that Chainrai has sued Arcadi for $23m last year, and won. Suddenly Chainrai has a loan to PFC secured against the ground, and Gaydamak junior has the land around the ground. Is that a property deal to settle the $23m that I can smell? Until Al Faraj is 'unmasked' then there will always be suspicion that he doesn't exist, and that Pompey are tied up in some complex middle eastern power struggle. The idea of Arabs and Israelis being involved together in a PL club, does seem unlikely ast best.

Would it be wrong if I pointed out that the article is a year old?
-
Yup...(I was being ironic;))
-
OK, change the £1.25m to £2.5m....the rest seems to still be appropriate...
-
With a club?
-
So....Storrie wasn't involved in the Kaboul sale and, according to Jacob in this article, neither was he. ANyone else know who's authorised to sell a player....surely not Azoughy.....
-
Well on £1.25m, that's a lot of reasons to stay. If his position is untenable, he should do the decent thing and quit...oh, but he;s too interested in money to do that.
-
So, they're looking for clubs who can are willing to give them players on free transfers (and those players will obviously need to be prepared to sign for them), and they can loan one more player (assuming O'Hara comes back) - they're only one short of their quota. In short, this is moving the deck chairs around on the titanic.
-
But even then it's still going to cost in the region of £30m + as that's the sort of money that the assets would raise. Additionally, Gaydamak would be holding the land to ransom so he couldn't develop a ground on the existing site. Maybe he'd be better stumping up enough cash up front (depending on whether the actual debt is closer to £60m than £85m) Having said all of that, it still makes no financial sense to buy Pompey whichever way you look at it. The problem is the number of creditors. I assume if a club goes into admin that the stadium, as the security of a loan, immediately goes to Chainrai. Any buyer would have to negotiate with him for the release of that, and then for the land around it separately with Gaydamak. It's a complete minefield, and time is short. For that reason, why would he buy Pompey?
-
Or to resign to protect her qualification.....assuming she's a Chartered Accountant, or similar.
-
He probably thought he had bought Man United:)
-
Now that would be funny...he gets an injury just before the window closes, and nobody will buy him. Pompey left paying the wages of a player they will never be able to play due to the clause in his contract when he reaches 20 games. Imagine what would happen if Kaboul did his cruciate now......

There are some staggeringly thick people writing comments at The News. It appears that 90% of the PO postcode don't understand the difference between a company having a debt, but servicing that debt by means of regular scheduled payments being made, and a company having a debt where they have regular scheduled payments agreed.....but aren't making any payments...and when they are, only by means of borrowing elsewhere. But, still, let's all write to the PL as it's all their fault. Monkeys.
