That's not quite true though is it. The Audi will have better quality finishes, sound proofing,,,hell, even the paint will be thicker! Hardly the same car

99.9% certain. They never, ever vote for a CVA unless they get 100% of their debt.
-
Don't believe what you're reading in The News. It goes like this: They won't be deducted points for next season IF they stay in admin or come out of admin with an agreed CVA. They will be deducted points if they come out of admin without an agreed CVA. The chances of them getting an agreed CVA under AAs proposal are virtually nil. HMRC simply won't agree to it and have 25% of the debt. They could, conceivably, stay in admin. This means that the transfer embargo stays in place. They'll be left with about 5 of the first team squad in this instance and, presumably, the youth team will have to play. I would say it is certain they will have a points deduction for next season, unless there's a major shift in the current position towards the Griffin proposal. Even with that proposal, HMRC won't agree to it unless they get 100%....so Pompey still have a points deduction.

Yep, that's how I read it. Think the OP missed the point.

What is reported in the media is a very small part of what is presented to the court. Unless you went to the trial every day, I don't think you can say whether there was enough evidence or not.

Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.

Isn't the home grown thing relating to being registered to an English club for 3 years prior to the age of 21, rather than the specific club they're playing for? I suspect foreign players who cam over at a young age may also qualify. -
Trouble is Mack, you still need to get the CVA agreed. No agreed CVA (i.e. AA's CVA) = points deduction.....relegation. Agreed CVA (i.e.Griffin CVA....if HMRC back it) = no points deduction.....but you'll be fecked for years to come with a squad of no hopers....relegation. Still in admin = transfer embargo.....revert to the youth team....relegation. Still, like you said, you've had your medicine:rolleyes: Oh, forgot to add.....financial irregularities, using unlicensed agents......points deduction.

+1 I suspect it is starting to unravel. HMRC were never going to back off on this, and the introduction of Griffin the week before the CVA is a masterstroke. I don't see that Gaydamak will lie down on his share though, although it sounds like there's some mileage in the 'trading whilst insolvent' threat. Of course, if he does drop out, HMRCs share of the debt goes way over the 25%. Nice.

They're being incredibly thick (have commented on the article to help them along). This has always been the case. The issue is how they exit admin. The alternative is for them to stay in admin and not be able to register any players. Come out with no agreed cva, points deduction. Jeez, they're stoopid](*,)

TBF I don't think you can compare us to even the other top L1 teams. We happen to be in the luxurious position of having a very wealthy backer. I think our wage bill would be comparable with a mid to higher Championship team. Re the Crewe example, there will always be some players / agents that ask ridiculous money. I think if you look at the recent facts on wage budgets in the CCC, £10m p.a. would be top end. Based on Pompey's likely gate receipts and other income that is a completely unworkable figure.

Rod and Danny Wallace?

He should have had a word with Kevin Bond about looking before he passes back to the keeper too!

I think you'll find I wasn't referring to absolutely everyone as being responsible, and I suspect you know that (or you're completely thick, which I'm sure isn't the case). Whilst we're here, can you spell out to me what you feel a 'greedy banker' is please?

Excellent, you're in range (211 now..)

I do agree that he was a great player, and a real favourite of mine, and all the other sentiments on here. What I do wish is that he had the heart and determination of Michael Svensson to get fit and fight for the cause. I did a tour of SMS about 5 years ago and Herbie told me that he was a real hypochondriac. Unfortunately, in my eyes, that unwillingness / inability to get fit takes the edge off what he could have achieved.

Andy...nothing to do with greedy individuals wanting everything on tick, wanting 'investment' flats that they can rent out and make a stack of cash 'because property prices are going through the roof' (oh)? Sure, some banks have a lot to answer for, but in the end there's that small thing that seems to be missing from modern society.....personal responsibility. It's not always somebody elses fault. Sometimes people have to say 'yep, my fault, I screwed up'. Everyone is always looking for someone else to blame.

I was surprised to find myself at 38th on the list with 208...although I may have gone up a couple of spots with my two posts today:D

Yes...all of this (Wales...tainted as it's the inlaws location)...plus: People who put banners on roundabouts wishing Bob a happy 60th birthday (feel free to amend name and age as appropriate). We don't know who the feck 'Bob' is, and we don't care. Tie 'Bob' to the roundabout so we can at least see if we know him. Idiots. Txt spk (grrrr) Old people shopping on the weekend - why? You've got all fecking week. Portsmouth and everything associated with it (or is that a given?)
