  1. TBF he had easily enough in his armoury to score from there.
  2. Lol....did you see something I didn't for the first 65 minutes? It was utter ****e...although, admittedly, it picked up after that!
  3. Personally I like Top Gear. I like cars, but view it more as an entertainment show that involves cars at some point. I'd agree that the last series wasn't as good as previous series, but I genuinely think they have produced some great documentaries - Vietnam, South America, US Road Trip, Arctic trip etc. I like the road tests they do in Europe and the UK, although I'd agree that sometimes they need to be a bit more imaginative about their races from x to y. Sure, some of it's a bit tired and old, but overall it's one of the few programmes I actually miss when it's not on. As for the snow plough thing, that's just 3 blokes cocking about.....a way of making a point in a not very serious way.
  4. lol...yes! I'm not 100% sure what factors impact tyre wear other than hard acceleration, hard braking, heavy cornering etc. These yres have worn a lot heavier than my previous A6 SE which had bog standard 17" wheels. I assume the harder suspension and lower profile tyres will affect the wear.
  5. It's not a 'performance' car. It's an A5 Sportback 2.0 TDi S Line
  6. game on....nice
  7. I've got Bridgestone Potenza RE050s on mine....rear are fine, but front need doing now at 18k. I'd expect more from them, but not sure whether it's the low profile of the tyres (245/40x18) or just that they're a bit crap. Maybe the car's just hard on front tyres.
  8. Game over.....Bompey will be lucky to hang on to the play offs at this rate. Could be a real confidence wrecker.
  9. No. No, no, no and no again. You really, really couldn't be more wrong.
  10. Have you actually got anything to base that on? No, thought not. He's an articulate guy who has a desire to play football if his body allows. He's not stupid, he's not going to risk his health. If he thinks he can do it and has had advice that he will not suffer as a result, then why not?
  11. Oh dear...fail. He's just like Peter Crouch in the same way as Robbie Keane is.
  12. But the ref missed the Ian Dowie upper cut in the same melee!
  13. So, that'll be 91 points. So we need 8 wins and 2 draws if they max out their points. If they max out, Peterboro can only get to 87 points. I reckon we need 22 points from 30 for auto, so 87 points total. I can't see Huddersfield getting more than 17 points from 21 or Peterborough getting more than 21 from 24....so 2 defeats and a draw. 10 straight wins from here would be nice though!
  14. Squeaky Hobbs.....
  15. What, not first?! B&HA may do a Charlton...or Plymouth may go pop......
  16. The OP is above - I think the question's pretty clear TBH.
  17. Bournemouth are gone as far as automatic is concerned. They've picked a bad time for 1 point from 12. They need to try and re-group to stay in the play offs and look to find form again. Luckily for them, Orient have hit the wall too by the looks of things in the last week - 1 point from 9.
  18. Why is the hypothetical scenario of a guaranteed play off win so hard to grasp? If we could fast froward to June and know that we'd definitely gone up, I would rather do it by beating Bournemouth 10 nil at OT. I would also like it to be 8 nil at half time so their fans all disappear. Failing that situation, and time travel not being invented imminently, an automatic place would be my preference.
  19. Indeed...Plymouth going pop would make it very interesting. However, I really can't see anyone catching you - the wins keep on coming, so you need to implode like Charlton to chuck it from here.
  20. Like the kits, but having sponsors names on the back is very, very lower league IMHO so I'd rather we didn't go down that route
  21. He is from Southampton though. He probably has a passing interest in football but it doesn't rule his life, he doesn't go week in week out, and hearing him talk about Saints is probably no different to 90% of other people who never go to footy (Alpine, for example). As for his comments when we went down.....seriously.....sense of humour failure?
