I think this thread will be the least of our problems if we lose 18-0 on Sat.

QPR will get deducted enough points so they finish 2nd IMHO. There will be all sorts of legal issues if the play offs are delayed. It's already tough on the team that goes up via the play offs because they've got a lot less time to get new signings on board. Norwich will start recruiting now (or at least speaking to players). Whoever goes up at Wembley will be a month behind. If it's delayed further then it impacts next season. If QPR start down the legal route, there will be injunctions and all sorts that will cause chaos. It still may end up in court if QPR finish 2nd, but the fight will be over the pot and won't impact anyone else.

Who would you like to win the Play-Offs? (League 1)

Huddersfield deserve it, so will go for them. 2nd choice Bompey (they'd wet themselves), 3rd Franchise. I have no 4th choice because Ferguson is a complete tw4t -
That does sound hideous, and it's disappointing if true. I'm not saying that it isn't, but guess where I read it first? http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?200424-Congratulations-to-Saints-match-thread-v-Plymouth/page7 Post 129. Now, if that was me I'd be posting something on SWF...why would you go to the Brighton board? What's it got to do with them?

Nope....

Against that, how many times have we fecked up a last day cliffhanger? However, my default setting is that if we do it we'll do it the hard way - whether that means going up on the last day or via play offs remains to be seen (not going up is unthinkable)

Brentford 0 - 3 Saints - Post Match Reaction

Walsall must win to be certain of staying up. A draw or defeat may also be enough. D&R are at Peterborough next week - a draw would do it for them if we beat Walsall. God, how I wish BHA had held on. Bastards. Interesting one for both Walsall and D&R - stick or twist. Surely they've both got to try and win.... -
I think there's still a dispute going on about whether the money is owed or not
-
I'd have thought Spuds qualify under the football creditors rule - they'll get their money

Lazy journo just going from the word of an agent I suspect - he aint that good.

Poyet compares us with Dagenham and Redbridge
Chin Strain replied to thegaffer's topic in The Saints
I think we can mix it up how we see fit, and how the game / opposition dictates, rather than sticking to one style. I suspect, but don't know as I wasn't there, that we mixed it up against BHA, and the more direct threat came towards the end. We were vey one dimensional last season - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. What I would say about us this season is that we have more than a plan a. I may be wrong, but I reckon we've turned around more games this season than last. We're a decent outfit and, had we seen a repeat of the RL that we had last season, we'd have been unstoppable. Anyone who witnessed BHAs performance at SMS in November would certainly not say that they play the best football. They played a cynical game aimed at wasting time. Sure, they tried to keep the ball, but that was by passing it around their back 5 deep in their half. They offered little going forward for 70 minutes. Fair play to them though as it nearly worked when the ref gave them a dubious penalty. Their game seemed to be based around tiring the opposition out by making them chase the ball and then have a go in the last 20 - I remember coming out of that game thinking that I wouldn't want to watch them week in week out. Interestingly it seems as though Huddersfield have an issue with Poyet from their game in December - apparently he was waving around imaginary cards, trying to get players sent off. Lee Clark was not a happy bunny. http://www.examiner.co.uk/huddersfield-town-fc/2010/12/13/huddersfield-town-boss-on-touchline-bust-up-at-antics-of-brighton-s-poyet-86081-27813484/ Fundamentally though, for Poyet to suggest that Dagenham would definitely be top 6 if they had RL and LB shows the type of loon that he really is. It also shows a complete lack of respect to players such as David, Fonte, Jaidi, Lallana, Oxo, Guly and Schneiderlin (to name but a few). I would imagine the D&R manager was ****ing himself laughing when he read that. -
I think one of the things that really grates with Brighton (fans, manager, Board etc) is that, in their heart of hearts, they just know that their players would jump ship and join us given half a chance (assuming same league). It's the same thing with Bournemouth. That's not being arrogant, but it's just the way it is. If we're honest, it was exactly the same when we had our little vendetta with Spurs - the natural pecking order in English football means the bigger clubs are always going to draw the players. Sure, for a year or two we were close in the table, and even above Spuds, but they've got bigger resources, more fans and can pay bigger wages.

From an official programme that really is small minded

Have worked it out.... Huddersfield have got 48 points from their run of 22 games (max of 66 points) since we beat them on 28 December (13 wins, 9 draws). A stonking run, it must be said. We've have taken 49 points from the 22 games since the game on 28 December - lost twice, but converted more into 3 points (15 wins, 4 draws, 3 defeats). Of course if you go back and count the last 23 games we've taken another 3 as we beat Huddersfield 4-1. Last year we suffered from drawing too many games (14 draws, 9 defeats). This season we've converted draws in to wins so far (8 draws, 10 defeats). Last year we got 83 points, and we're on 80 with 4 games to play. If anyone's interested.....
-
Eh...you're joking?
-
IT's gonna be Fergie Time I feel....
-
I think you'll find that your unbeaten run of 22 games, or whatever it is, has yielded less points than us in the same period. We've lost twice in that period, and you've had a great run, but you've drawn too many games - I think it's 9.
-
But that's not actually true is it. If we lose and win our last 4 games, we go up (barring a goal diff swing of 11). You've got to go to Brighton too, remember.
-
I thought Brighton had 7 points from 4 games up until the end of August - so says their website. They then managed to turn that into 20 from 9 games - about when NA came in. Also, Pardew drew a shed load of games last season. I'm guessing that we've won a lot more since NA took over. Either way, who really cares? Does constant bleating on about who's best, what we did last season, what we've done this season so far actually matter in any shape or form now? We're where we are, like it or not. Win 4 games and we go up for sure (barring a goal diff miracle). The next 5 games are the only ones that I'm now interested in over the last 2 years. Hopefully our season won't extend beyond 5 games.

I like the away one. Very nice

Nowt. You needed a question mark so clearly were just guessing.

I thought that was odd too
