  1. How the hell can Parkin be considered a professional athlete. FFS.
  2. This.
  3. Depends when you work / go to school I guess.
  4. Great trip! 2 1/2 hr queue at Gotthard sounds shocking - you should have gone over the top!
  5. Now that'll be the business to be in a few years from now - tattoo removal.
  6. Yeah, but he said it was at 5:20.....and it was. Now it's 3pm.
  7. :facepalm:She looks like a bloke in drag. What's with the trout pout?
  8. Not if he's a) got no drive and b) more interested in his Saturday nights. The Guardian article does seem to paint a picture of someone who is not interested in playing football anymore.
  9. They may want to do him a favour after recent events
  10. I think the August difficulties are partly down to the PL squads not yet being named. Managers won't want to let one player go in case they can't get a transfer target in. Maybe once the squads are named, there will be a few able to go on loan. I would think Citeh would have a few spare players....
  11. Dan...two things....I'm a better header of the ball and have a better goals to game ratio (recently)! You kmow this because you are the Brett Ormerod in the partnership!
  12. Whereabouts (not being a stalker or anything)?
  13. Brilliant. Only 41 games to go.
  14. Where was that reported as fact then? I must have missed that.
  15. FF, it did appear that you had an axe to grind - if you say you don't that you don't, then that's fine by me. I'm certainly not taking it personally. The opinion that I've formed by reading your posts on the forum over the last 2 years is that you're not entirely convinced by NC, which is absolutely fine by me too. As you say, you hear more about the inner workings of the club than most on here (if not all), and that may come from people who have an axe to grind (I have no idea). Given the picture of your views that I've built up, it seemed like you were being slightly opportunistic in posting Warnocks comments, as they fit with your view. It appeared to be a cheap shot given your views, but I certainly don't have an issue with any sort of criticism. For me, NC does good things and bad things - based on a view from outside and no knowledge of the inner workings. The pictures fiasco was a mess, and the car parking charges would seem to be slightly strange. However, I'm a football fan, and the club's doing well. I think NC is learning about the game, and has kept a low profile over the last 12 months. He seems to let NA get on with it. Regarding Warnocks comments I don't know specifically what he's on about because he hasn't expanded to give any details. Maybe we won't pay over the odds for players, or wages. Maybe agents fees are causing issues. Maybe it's because the players wouldn't fit in with the team ethic and togetherness at the club. I get the impression that this is a major factor for NA.
  16. My view was also that QPR wanted to chuck in Gorkks as part of the Puncheon deal. Judging by other players that we have bought, Gorkks doesn't fit the mould. He's 29 and, whilst not old, typically we've only spent money on players that are less than 25 and have a resale value. Couple this up with the fact that the previous QPR board seemed allergic to spending money and you have Warnock tryiong to do his wheeler dealer bit to get a player in that he really wanted. Now that they have money to spend, my bet is that he's not interested in JP any more (SWP seems to be the main target).
  17. Don't be such a chump. I don't know FF, other than what I read in his posts. He's probably a great guy. My friends are great guys, but it doesn't mean I have to agree with everything that they say.
  18. FF, you're a fairly prominent poster on here, if not by volume of posts necessarily, but by the nature of your previous connections with the club. You've pointed out above, so you must know that most posters here know your history. Because of that a lot of people take note of what you post. The picture I have built up over the last couple of years from your posts has been one of caution regarding the current regime. Maybe you know more about NC than the rest of us. Maybe you have contacts that feed you information about NC and the way the club is run (I'd be pretty confident that you do, but clearly I don't know for sure). So when you then post a link suggesting that NC is a nightmare to deal with, and then follow it up by 'hey, just saying, don't shoot the messenger', I think you're being a bit disingenuous - it seems to fit in with what I've read in the past, and it looks like it wasn't just me who thought that. Reading your reply above seems to think that you believe that this is a valid point to criticise NC on. Are you privy to any further information that backs this up? Having read your posts about your previous union role, I would have thought that you would understand that there are two sides to every story. Maybe we were difficult to deal with, but what was the definition of 'difficult'? Maybe NC wasn't going to pay over the odds for a player, but Reading were. Does that make us 'difficult'? I have no agenda - what does that mean on a football fan forum anyway? I've been a season ticket holder since 1989, and go to all home and some away games. I'm just an ordinary fan, no more no less.
  19. I'll go along with this.
  20. Exactly. Um Pahars.....any thoughts?
  21. I think you're missing the point. Axe to grind = FF's post. 'Please don't shoot the messenger'...... yeah right....you're the mug here UP.....sometimes people post here to suit their agenda....don't be so naive.
  22. Agreed. After all this is Reading who have flogged their best centre half a month or so ago, and haven't yet replaced him. They're probably very keen to do business. If we'd have sold Fonte for big bucks several weeks ago, we'd have been in a different position and very keen to do business quickly, and probably at the value that would have suited QPR. The difference is, we're not desperate.
  23. Oh, ok, so FF has a history of digs at NC, and sticks Warnock's quotes up in lights, yet I'm tilting at windmills. He's had a swipe at NC, and you don't appear to be able to read between the lines.
  24. Agreed, but if it's the market rate, then that's the way it goes. Leicester and WHU have upped the market rate, and Maynard is a classic example. However, the thought of paying £6m - £8m for a player less than a week away from being almost worthless (a couple of million in Jan maybe, if someone is desperate) is laughable. BC are kidding themselves. It's brinkmanship and posturing. He'll go somewhere for £4m tops by end of August as I can't see BC risking him going for zilch. Anyway, this is a market where LC paid £5m for Mills, and dropped him after 2 games.
