I'm not so bothered about the lack of money or ambition that is in our club, at the end of the day, if you are supporting your local team, then it's by luck and I guess been born a Saints supporter is better luck than being born a Halifax supporter. There are plenty of clubs and fans that would take what we have. However, you are right in respect of VAR, it is seriously undermining real old school football fans and this exclusion will only serve purpose to see the likes of my generation just say 'fuck it', and not go back. It's a lot easier to do now than ever before. I am so tempted to be honest. Even my 17 year old son is pissed off with it and he's like any blind football mad kid, but even he is saying, 'what's the point?' Not sure the EPL or FA actually realise that they are undermining the roots of football when we can all go back, i swear that apart from the usual suspects, a lot of grounds will be half full. If it was not for a good bunch of lads that i meet up with, and especially away games, I really would not be going back.

We are a bang average PL club. We are not any different to the likes of Burnley and Crystal palace and not that far ahead of Norwich and West Brom. The likes of Everton and West Ham are just ahead of us because they do spend money and do try and compete, even though that rarely makes a difference. Our season, like the others could equally consist of relegation, mid table mediocracy or pushing for a top 7 spot and Europe. We'll have the odd cup run and maybe get to a final but we will more than likely lose to a top six club. We will get some good players and a good manager but they will leave for bigger clubs with more money and ambition. If they do not leave, they aren't that good. We will buy a lot of shit players and waste most of our incoming money. If we are playing well, no one will mention the owner but when we lose, the owner will no longer be required. An our fans are like all other football fans, fantasists and unrealistic and fickle as fuck.

I don’t blame the club for singing Redmond. English player who was good for Norwich, I think a few other clubs in for him. Think at the time it was considers a nice little coup. As I said before, they’re not all going to work out and Redmond just hasn’t developed into anything worthwhile. He’s a poor mans Walcott, who is never going to get any better. Got no problem with the club taking chances on players like him and Adams, but it’s our foreign policy that is really not working out. Revert back to British players or at least players that have played here. Yes, we could miss out on the next Mane but we’d also miss out on the next Ely.

I think we may have been premature on a couple of these: Carrillo - never given a proper chance. I know he was never going to be an Ings or even Pelle, but to be honest, would have been worse than Che Adams? Boufal - Had enough chances to show he's the same as Redmond, Mousa and arguably Walcott. Lots of show and little end product. Not saying we should have kept Boufal but he wasn't any worse than what we have now. Hoedt is playing for Roma or Lazio isn't he, if he is playing for them then he's good enough for us. Elynoussi - i think simply not good enough for our league Lemina - should be good enough really, just think he can't be bothered. All teams are going to buy duds, it happens. Just think with a couple of them, we could have persisted a little more.

I don’t think the season is done just yet. There’s no reason why we can’t rediscover our previous form and the way the league is this year, we could start sniffing around for a Euro spot again. I think it’s unlikely but it is possible, think we’re only 7 points off 7th. Of course they’ll be some on here that hope we lose to Bournemouth so we can concentrate on finishing 7th.

Its like a white middle class members club and I don’t know how many come through but just seems to be the same trash as Dean, Mason, Moss. I like Mariner and I like Oliver.
